Personal and Professional Development

When people ask me about my business, I tell them Im in the learning business that we help organizations, teams and individuals reach their potential through learning. This is a fine statement and it does describe the breadth of what we do, but it often leads to the follow-up question like . . . Do you do personal development stuff or just business skills training?

My answer is yes.

Because I dont believe there is a significant difference between personal development and professional development.

Why do I say that?

The Reasons Why

Since my opinion might differ from yours, or perhaps youve never thought about it this, it makes sense to explain myself. There are at least five major reasons why I think personal and professional development are the same thing.

Learning is Learning. We were granted an amazing potential for learning at birth. Most of us havent used very much of that potential. Its like we are mowing our lawn with a jet engine. Sure the jet engine has enough horsepower to turn the blade, but it has virtually unlimited potential that isnt being used. When we are learning we are increasing our 5A8capacity to learn more because we are flexing and exercising our learning muscles. In other words whenever we are learning we are increasing our capacity to learn even more.

All Experience Counts. One of the powerful ways that we learn is by connecting new learning to what we already know. As we continue to build our knowledge and experiences, it allows us to make new connections faster. In other words, the more we learn, the more successful we will be at learning new things and in most situations; more quickly with deeper understanding.

Were a Whole Package. It isnt like we go to work and dont use anything we know from our personal life to be more effective professionally. And while we may not need to know how to repair rotating drum equipment at home those skills might help you diagnose the problem with your washing machine. And even though you dont have to back up the system database at home, you might be able to deal with your home PC better because of what you learned at work. And while you hope youll never need to follow the new Customer Service procedure at home, that procedure might teach you something a following a process, or being more understanding when you are the Customer.

The bottom line is that we are complete humans, and as such we take our entire work knowledge home, and bring all of our personal knowledge and experience to work. So any form5B4 of growth or development will benefit you both personally and professionally.

The Most Important Skills are Always the Most Important. Where does being a better listener help you at home or at work? Both, of course. When you learn how to coach more effectively at work does it make you a better parent? It sure can!

We could make a long list of these valuable skills, from communication to dealing with conflict, to learning how to learn, to giving better feedback to being more creative you get the idea (and have probably thought of five other examples yourself by now). There are many skills that we might learn as self improvement that will help us at work, and vice versa. So why label it one or the other?

Serendipity Rules. Because our learning grows based on connections, you never know when something you learned on the Discovery Channel might give you an aha at work, or that the insight shared by the seminar leader at work helps you solve a vexing problem at home. Again, all development, all learning, all growth helps us in all parts of our lives.

But Wait

Does all of this mean that as I become a better knitter or bowler, Ill be more productive and successful at work? Yes, for the reasons I described above (and some others too).

That doesnt mean that your organization should send everyone to knitting class or bowling lessons, but it does mean that t53Chere is substantial merit in supporting any form of learning regardless of the content.

In the end, my goal is to help you view all skills more broadly in their application instead of classifying some things as personal development and therefore they dont matter at work.

Learning is learning. Personal development is professional development.

When you stop worrying about the distinctions, but rather think about the applications, you serve yourself and others much better.

How To Help People Think Better - The Nitty Gritty of Listening

You know how to listen. You do it every day. In fact, you spend a good portion of the time you're interacting with others in listening. You're good at it.

And, we find that leaders who are remarkable listeners are always looking to expand their listening skills. So let's really make a study of listening today; let's take a look at the nitty gritty.

Helping people to think more deeply is the highest purpose, the best reason, for a leader to listen more deeply. When people think more deeply, when they make their own connections, they get a jolt of energy, and they're inspired to action. David Rock in his book Quiet Leadership (Appeared, 2006) describes the neuroscience of the process of coming to one's own insight. Then he says,

When people make deep, new connections in their own mind, there is a tangible release of energy, a discernable "aha" moment that fills us with a desire to take action. On a physical level, this aha moment releases chemicals in the body to prime it for movement. The energy created by insight is an important energy source to be harnessed. In the workplace there are many drains on our energy, including restrictions, policies, politics, long hours, and hundreds of emails every day. We should be harnessing every possible energy source that might inspire better performance. Letting people come up with their own ideas is a deep well of motivation to tap. (pp.39-40)

We have found that people get excited, become more conscious, and solve their own problems when their leaders and colleagues employ the skill of listening for. When you are listening for my potential, my strengths, or my skills mastery, I can sense that and I respond to it. When you're listening for what's important to me, for my goals, for what I value, for what I believe is possible or not possible, you help me become more conscious of these myself. When you're listening for how I feel about the subject I'm discussing - whether my energy is high or low, whether I'm excited or worried - I know I am truly heard. When you're listening for the real issue, maybe the question behind my question, then you help me to see so much more. When you're listening for what I'm not saying but is clearly present, then you give me permission to bring it out.

So how do you do it, this listening deeply and listening for? Here are some of the nitty gritty techniques:

Say less than you think you need to. Give lots of time for the person to think or to frame what they're saying. Resist the urge to jump in.

Summarize, paraphrase, and mirror back what you're hearing to be sure you understand clearly and to give the person a chance to hear what he or she is thinking.

As you reflect what you're hearing, use their language. It will have more of an impact. As you reflect, use language that indicates "I heard" rather than "You said."

Notice the difference between the person's words, tone of voice, and body language.

Practice setting aside your own judgments of what you're hearing.

And finally, just practice hearing some of what we've already mentioned: potential, goals, values, strengths, mastery, possibility, point of view, feelings, what's underneath.

Now let's look at an example. Your employee, Bob, comes to you and says, "Sandy is alienating everyone around her." For many, the automatic response is to look for a solution. The leader who is listening for starts by asking for more information and listening for what's important to the speaker.

As you listen, you reflect what you're hearing, giving Bob the chance to become more aware of the elements of the situation and what's really going on. You use language that tells Bob what you've heard. You listen for possibility, for Bob's strengths and for Sandy's. You listen for how Bob is thinking about the situation and what he may not be saying about it. And you assume Bob's competence in being able to solve his problem.

As you reflect what Bob is saying, he begins to see possibility, too. Now may be a good time to ask Bob what he'd like to see and how he'd like to move forward. You continue to see him as competent and creative. In this collaborative conversation, Bob feels heard, and he taps into his own resourcefulness. Your deep listening allows Bob to harness his own energy and to solve his own problem, to become a leader in this situation.

We have all experienced the power of being truly heard. It is one of the highest gifts we receive in this life. In the business world, it encourages deeper thinking, energized action, and greater connection to the work at hand. And it invokes the leader in everyone.

Reach The Success You Truly Desire

Ever have those days where no matter what you try life seems to be a series of one step forward and two steps back?

Well today is the very best day to take charge of your life and develop strategies to achieve personal success. You will need to work hard and make a commitment to your personal success plan, but once you break the inertia you will find that small achievements will help you gain momentum, and each step forward will attract more success.

1. Take a look at the one and only person responsible for your success- YOU. To be successful you must take complete responsibility for your actions. You can't pin your success or your shortcomings on anyone else.

2. Develop and nurture a successful self- Start by smiling more, look to the positive side in everything. Don't list all the reasons why something is hard and you can't do it, find the reasons even if it is only one to start with of why you can do something. You must develop a successful persona to become a successful person.

3. Make the decision today- Decide today that you will be successful. Praise yourself for past accomplishments, take stock of your strong qualities and work to nurture and improve those that are underdeveloped. You have a purpose and a mission you must sweep aside the negative clutter and defi5B4ne this purpose and begin today to fulfill yourself.

4. Always begin with the positive- every morning you wake up, every time you speak with other people. Always stick with the positive. Associate with positive people. People who have also made the commitment to success. Avoid negative people at all costs. They will not only drag you down. Their negative actions and thoughts, their pessimism, whining, and complaining is a toxin and you need to steer clear of it.

5. Visualize and write down how you desire to live successfully- think of the things that are meaningful to you. Things that give you pleasure, comfort, and fulfillment. Then being as specific as possible write down how you want to live. Don't listen to any of the negative, just concentrate. Write down every detail, where you live, what your house is like down to the decor. What you and your friends are passionate about, what kinds of community projects do you donate your time and money to. After writing everything down copy the most vivid and important things into a new journal. One you have chosen just for this. Make the journal come to life with drawings, photographs, magazine clippings, articles, and poetry. Images and words that will help your vision of a successful life crystallize in your mind. Look through this journal several times a week. Every day visualizing living that life. Make all of your actions in accordance with that successful life.

6. Defin4Fe what success means to you- Concentrate on what you are best at and what bring588s you satisfaction and fulfillment. Using your vision of how you want to live, write down and then read out loud what success means to you. Otherwise you won t know when you have achieved it.

7. Study and make the commitment- Read books and magazines about people who are successful in your eyes, and ways to become more successful. Develop a daily methodical systematic approach to reaching your goals and take one step towards your success.

Keep your mind in the moment don't let it wonder to negative discourse. Focus your attention on your vision of success. With a resolute attitude you are well on your way.

How Easy Is It To Stop Foreclosure On Your Own?

Since the meltdown in the real estate markets and the increasing foreclosure rates, several new websites have popped up offering free foreclosure help and marketing self-help packages and programs. Many of them do not describe much of the contents of their products, but similar ones have been around for years. They almost always consist of some sort of self-help package, with forms and instructions designed go guide homeowners along the path of avoiding foreclosure in several different methods.

For homeowners who want to try to stop foreclosure on their own, they can do a lot worse than buying a product that will guide them through some of the steps in the legal process. Several of these products also offer worksheets to help homeowners evaluate what options they may qualify for, as well as form letters that can be customized for a variety of purposes. These might include working with the mortgage company, explaining the foreclosure when applying for a new loan, or requesting the sheriff sale be postponed for a period of time.

Homeowners should not expect magic from any product or source of foreclosure help, though, unless they are willing to put in the hard work necessary to save their homes. Stopping foreclosure is not easy, it takes time, and the other parties in the process (banks, attorneys, courts, and so on) may not be entirely receptive. If the foreclosure victims pay for the self-help package, and then fail to follow the guides or instructions, there is a strong possibility they will lose the home, regardless of what products 5B4they have purchased. Unfortunately, when homeowners are unable to prevent foreclosure, they blame the product itself, rather than their efforts in putting it to its most effective uses.

Homeowners who are serious about saving their homes on their own could also probably find mostly similar documents that are used in the foreclosure help packages for free through various sources online, as well. Many websites now offer form letters, worksheets, and simple calculators to help foreclosure victims examine options that may be used to stop foreclosure. Of course, finding these tools online through many sources would extra take time to do the research, put together form letters and worksheets to match the situation, and would generally involve more work than just buying a kit, which has all of the information centrally located. But in either case, the homeowners will have to work with the information and their banks in order to make the most effective use of any program.

Many of these self-help packages are often relatively cheap, costing less than a few hundred dollars -- some even cost much less than $100, which causes some homeowners to suspect they will not be getting much for their money. But a low price does not necessarily mean the products are of low quality; instead, the relatively cheap price should indicate that working out the solutions to foreclosu58Fre will be entirely in the hands of the foreclosure victims, who will be solely responsible for putting in the work to save their homes. The owners do all of the work in negotiating with the bank or finding alternate sources of assistance, with minimal guidance from the providers of the information.

If they are expecting to have their hands held and for someone else to contact the mortgage company for them after paying for a self-help package, then they may be better off hiring a professional loss mitigation company or bankruptcy attorney. But if the homeowners really are willing to work on finding a solution on their own with the kit and some extra background information, then this solution can be very cost-effective in providing them with extra options to save the house.

The ForeclosureFish website has been created to provide homeowners in danger of losing their houses with relevant and important foreclosure help and advice. The site describes various methods that may be used to save a home, such as delaying a sheriff sale, avoiding eviction, how to qualify for a home after foreclosure, and more. 3 Simple Keys to Eliminate Fear

Fear is your enemy no other way to describe it. Im not talking about that natural life preserving action along with a major boost of adrenalin that happens if a wild animal is coming at you. Im talking a2227bout the fears people live with day in and day out.

Fear is your enemy. Someone once described fear as, Sand in the machinery of life. Fear doesnt help you, it hinders you. Fear doesnt get you through an open door; it keeps you in the hallway. Fear never helps you put your best foot forward; it just keeps both of your feet in cement.

The psychology of today is, Learn to live with your fears, Embrace your fears, Its normal to have fears everybody does.

Its true; lots of people do have fears. And there are people who are trying to learn how to live with their fears, and embrace them.

But if its normal to have fears, then why would the Bible talk about being delivered from all your fears?

Think about it - if its normal to have fears, and you had no fears, then you would be abnormal, right? Well why would God want you to be abnormal?

He doesnt. He truly desires for you to be set free from all your fears.

There are many facets and aspects of fear. One of the big ones is having fear of what others think of you. People do things, say things, and even buy things because of the fear that they have of what others think.

Many times people join clubs or organizations because they are afraid that if they dont, others might think badly of them.

People say things and talk a certain way because they are afraid that they might not say the right thing in front of the right people.

People purchase items because of fear not measuring up to those around them. And on and on it goes.

You dont have to live with fear. Here are 3 simple keys to getting rid of fear.

First, start by realizing that God truly loves you and that His love for you is unconditional. The Bible teaches that nothing can separate you from His love. Nothing. His love for you does not change, ever!

Second, ask God to help you to get rid of all your fears. He has promised to deliver you from all your fears. That is His desire for you a life without fear.

Third, make decisions based on what is best for you, not how it may or may not appear to others. Youll never, ever be able to please everyone, so stop trying to. Youll never, ever be right in everybodys eyes, so stop trying to.

When you make a decision, ask yourself, Why am I making this decision? Is it based on fear? Make decisions based on what is right and best for your life, regardless of what others think.

You can live without fear.

Self Improvement Videos: Quality Tube Time Or Popcorn Chasers?

Before you spend another dime purchasing the latest self improvement video release, take a moment to read the following article. Within it, you will find several tips to help you get the most value out of the money and time you invest. Self improvement videos can be worth their weight in gold, but only if you extract all you can from them. Here's how.

Plan a good time and place to watch the video. Just as you wouldn't attend a class or lecture with screaming children or a nagging spouse, the time and place you choose to watch your video should also be free of distractions. A quiet time in a private room with the understanding that you are to be left alone will allow you to concentrate on the information in the video.

Make watching the video an active experience. Most of the time when we watch TV, we just sit there and passively observe the screen. This does not encourage retention of the information. If you really want to learn and absorb self-improvement information, be sure to keep a notebook and pen handy and take notes during the video. Also be sure to write down any new ideas or questions that occur as you are watching.

Review. After watching the video for the first time, read through your notes. Review in your mind the information and ideas that were presented. Tell yourself outloud some of the things you learned. As you do this, be sure and keep track of any new ideas or questions that you think of.

Rewatch. Now, sit back and watch the tape or dvd again. This time you'll not only discover information you missed the first time, but you'll also find answers to some of your questions and even a few more self-improvement ideas.

Apply. Don't let your new knowledge go to waste. If there were practical excercises and good ideas introduced in the video, start putting them into action right away. This will help you to quickly make these new skills second nature and speed up your journey.

Remember, your path of self improvement is a really a course in "You 101". Treat watching self improvement videos like a class and you will be more likely to graduate with honors.

Low Self Esteem And Pleasing People

Because I grow up believing that I had to be the "good girl"; therefore, a pleasing person, I suffered low self esteem most of my life.

What is the meaning of pleasing people? . Pleasing people are not able to say "no" because their self-worth depends on other's approval. They will not set healthy boundaries and will try to seek other's approval all the time.

Pleasing people fear rejection, they avoid conflicts at any cost, they feel inferior to others, and insecure about their abilities, skills or knowledge. Because they seek constant approval they deny their own needs. These are all signs of low self esteem.

I used to try to please everybody and I was always "available", even if I had to go against my own needs. This behavior lead me to a lot of suffering and resentment because at the end my questions was: "What about me?". When I became aware of this behavior I got so mad that I became exactly the opposite, and everybody was asking: What is the matter with her? She used to be so nice? And now.... This common reaction happens when you feel anger and feel victimized and you try to overcome this feelings by behaving in the opposite way.

It took me some time to realize that this behavior was not other's people fault, nobody was talking advantage of me, they were just responding to my messages and my fears. I had to learn to put myself first and try to remember this all the time. I had to learn to overcome my fear of loss of approval and rejection. And accept the fact that nobody was going to like me, anyway. How to recover from this pleasing behavior?:

Know yo5B4urself. Become aware of your feelings, thoughts and needs.
Learn to live with a balance were you can respect your own needs and at the same time consider others' need.
Always place your needs first , your own approval is more important than other people approval.
Be your own friend. Treat yourself with respect, self acceptance is the key.

Pleasing people suffer low self esteem because of their inability to set boundaries and say "no" to other's request. For more free information and tips about self esteem please visit: http://www.selfesteemawareness.com

Identifying the Obstacles That Make Your Listener Hold Back

"I will furnish one-half of the money for your line extension," an Eastern financier once told this banker who is noted for building his talk to fit the listener's interest; '' provided you raise the other half among businesses in towns on your blue prints."

The banker planned to meet this condition. And the first questions he asked himself were: '' "What can I say to these business men that will make them put up their money? What have I got that attracts them? What are the two or three big restraining influences that hold them back? Which men will accept logic? Which ones will require an appeal to the feelings?"

It was evident at once that the principal objections he would have to meet were:

1. Lack of confidence in the success of 5B4the scheme.

2. A lack of any individual feeling of need for a new railroad through the town.

3. Ignorance of the full advantages the railroad would offer.

4. An out-and-out money expenditure by every man, without any immediate personal return.

The name of the Eastern financier behind the scheme and the banker's own reputation insured confidence. His task, then, was to see that every one of his listeners felt a personal disadvantage through the lack of added railroad facilities and saw an individual benefit sufficient to warrant a liberal contribution.

To develop these personal appeals the banker looked up the character, disposition and business history of every prospect. He found a packer whose business had grown steadily during ten prosperous years. Here was a man to whom his own business was the one object in life - a man w ho would feel that this new money demand offered no personal advantages - a man well satisfied with present conditions. To such a man the argument of town loyalty would have to be backed by an appeal to personal interest.

"What have I to offer that man"' the banker asked himself. Referring to his map, he found that the new route would bring cattle, sheep and hogs to the packing house from an important farming section not yet tapped. He found, moreover, that competitors up and down the present transportation lines were beginning to cut into the packer's business and that wit5B4hout new sources of supply the packer could not possibly keep up his phenomenal expansion even two seasons longer.

Here was the personal appeal - the '"you" interest - the decisive contract of advantage and disadvantage that would have the greatest possible "hitting power" with the packer. The railroad meant to him new grazing territory and another ten years of rapid growth. Without that railroad, competing centers would soon have him at a serious disadvantage

When the banker went before the local chamber of commerce, every listener was equally familiar to him Turning to the map he directed his opening appeal straight at the packing house interests.

"And now," he concluded, "this increased business for your packing house means a double supply of hides for your local tanner Figure it out for yourselves "That amount of leather, it is an accepted rule, justifies the establishment of a shoe factory in your town

"A shoe factory means more families added to the town; more local trade; more farm trade; more wholesaling. It means more business for you, Mr. Grocer, for you, Mr. Jobber; for you, Mr. Drygoodsman; for you, Mr. Real Estate Agent, for you, Mr. Hardware Dealer."

Thus he showed every man present some important advantage the railroad would bring him. He told the story of other communities, and showed the town as it would be two years later, with, the new industries in full swing. Then he put aside his enth556usiastic word picture and suddenly brought back the humdrum present.

"You are well satisfied," he said; "you think you have a good town and so you have; but other towns are enterprising. They are going after success. The easiest thing in the world is for the fortunate, well-satisfied community to be left high and dry."

Thus, with logic and persuasion, he tore away the restraining influences that were holding back his prospects and drove home their present disadvantages so keenly that his project immediately won the local support it deserved.

Side Effects of Yoga Practice

New Yoga students should be made aware that there will be positive side effects from their Yoga practice. Their mind and body will function in true harmony as a result of daily practice. Students of Yoga often develop a newfound love for life, and they usually think more clearly than ever before.

When you consider any activity, or drug, there are usually some side effects, over long-term use, but how often are the side effects negative? Maybe more than half of the time, we anticipate a negative side effect. Consider this: There are only positive side effects, which occur from Yoga practice.

Stress becomes manageable, internal conflicts are reduced, and you develop complete clarity through Yoga practice. The most valuable aspects of Yoga are enhanced mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual he16B6alth.

Meditation is one the most important Yogic methods, because this practice eliminates confusion, frustration, and internal or external conflicts. The Yoga practitioner, who meditates on a regular basis, finds a state of bliss and a newfound self-awareness. Meditation is a complete "tune up" for the emotional and mental planes of our existence. Regular meditation sessions will yield a sound mind.

A balanced mind will function in harmony with the body. With the emotional, mental, and physical planes of existence working smoothly, a Yoga practitioner will be more likely to achieve spiritual growth. Some will ask, "Does this mean Yoga will make you better than everyone else?"

In answer to that question - Let's say: As a result of Yoga practice, you should live a longer, happier, and healthier life. To claim superiority to others; would defeat the true purpose of the Yogic way of life. If we have the desire to truly help others see the value in Yoga, we must be humble examples of our lifestyle.

The moment the ego takes control of our actions, we are not present for our practice. If we are truly "in the moment," we can feel inner peace and tranquility. Your optimum mental state of tranquility can be felt by any other person who comes into contact with you.

On the other hand, the ego fuels arrogance, which will not enable us to help others. It is not possible to be diplomatic and arrogant at the same time. Please remember that every form of conflict is a choice. If we let the ego run our lives, we are not living much differently from a dog who proudly displays his or her tail high in the air.

Water and Ayurveda

Are you drinking enough water? We have all heard the importance of drinking enough water a day to maintain our body fluid levels, but did you know the benefits of water also go as far as curing all kinds of illnesses and diseases? Water is recognized in Ayurveda as crucial to creating balance and ridding the body of toxins so that the vital energy within the body flows more smoothly.

Q: What' is Ayurveda?

A: Ayurveda is a 5000 year old science of healing originating in India

Q: What is a dosha?

A: Dosha is your mind/body type according to Ayurveda

SPICING IT UP

You can add spice to your water to balance your dosha:

Hydrating Vata-Balancing Water. lubricates the lower digestive tract, the seat of vata. Add a few mint leaves, one-quarter teasoon of marshmallow root, half teaspoon of fennel seeds to two quarts of boiled water. Let stand. Sip while warm.

Cooling Pitta-Balancing Water. Refreshes overactive pitta. Add quarter teaspoon of fennel seeds, two rosebuds, and one clove to two quarts of boiled water. Drink at room temperature.

Detoxifying Kapha-Balancing Water. Coldness is an attribute of kapha, so this blend is warming; it's also aids digestion. Add three basil leaves, two thin slices of fresh ginger, quarter teaspoon of cumin seeds, and half teaspoon of fennel seeds to two quarts of boiled water. Sip while warm or hot.

Q: How do I know what my dosha is?

A: Find out by taking this quiz

TO DRINK OR NOT TO DRINK?

What about drinking water during a yoga session? Some teachers allow it, some do not. Why the fuss?

Because in yoga we're working not only the musculoskeletal system but also the pranic body. Water cools the system down and puts out the subtle fires that are needed to cleanse and purify as you move through the asanas.

It might make better sense to drink before and after class instead or at the least to sip it rather than guzzle it just before you do that headstand. As always it depends on the person, the class, the environment so be guided from within. Maintain a mindfulness and your body will guide you in the right direction.

YOGA & AYURVEDA

For those of you that are interested in an ayurvedic approach to yoga, Leena works with her clients in determining their particular dosha and devising a programme that would be the most beneficial for their health and well-being. This programme can be Hatha yoga based or through the vehicle of thai massage or a combination of both.

"I take a very holistic approach," says Leena. "I look at every aspect of the person's life and then make a recommendation. Neither is it set in stone. People's bodies respond so differently. Even our mind plays a powerful role in how we view things. So the key for me is to stay in tune with what is needed but remain adaptable. Flexibility is much more than stretching the hamstrings- it's also about expanding your vision, your definition of what is appropriate in any given situation."

Leena Patel is currently based in Las Vegas where she teaches yoga and meditation to Celine Dion and A New Day. She has written numerous articles on health, yoga and spirituality and has taught across the US, Canada and in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Austria and the UK.

10 Steps To Achieving Maximum Performance Through Recognition

As a conscientious leader, you can:

Build a high performance team

Value your team members

Bring out the best in each of the members of the team

Employees will actually become a part of the team. This will happen when they feel included in plans for the future and when they feel rewarded for achieving goals. Everyone wants to be part of the team, part of the company, part of the big picture.

Being included doesnt mean being consulted or being asked for approval. It does mean taking those employees into consideration and keeping them informed of the plan and the progress.

Being rewarded for achieving goals doesnt have to include money or awards but in fact could be just high 5s and back patting as steps are achieved along the way. Show them that you understand that they actually helped achieve that goal. I read that at MDI, every time a major contract was signed, a giant gong in the entrance room was gonged loudly enough so everybody in the building heard it and knew of that success. Timing is important

The word rewarded, conjures up thoughts of money or gifts that are considered expenses or costs. Rewards can of course range anywhere from a thanks, you did a good job to Cash bonuses and everywhere in between. Promotional products fit almost every catagory except cash.

Rewards can be the success of the company and the continuance of operation or even expansion which could lead to promotions and long term employment.

Actual rewards should be considered as investments.

PLAN REWARDS

Set criteria for awards program, Present lasting, personalized awards

Standard, classy timeless awards stand the test of time

A personalized award will be kept and treasured

A functional gift will be used and discarded.

Trendy and gimmicky gifts are fun for a while

When your company name is on an award, you are in fact advertising your company while rewarding or acknowledging someone. Everyone will see the image you project.

Set clear objectives for your company

Management & Shareholder needs

Company Vision and Mission Statements

10 STEPS TO ACHIEVING MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE THROUGH RECOGNITION.

1. Timing, Timing, Timing. (Not Location, Location, Location)

2. Quality (not cheap, does the trick)

3. Appropriateness (choose the award to match the event)

4. First Impression, Last Impression (there is a 'right' time to make it the best)

5. Corporate Image ( everyone sees what you project. Be good and be constant )

6. Achievability of contests or programs ( make sure you get winners)

7. Image building. Communicate/advertise the program, the winners (You want your image to travel.)

8. Reciprocation creates obligation payoff repayment (be cognizant and make it your advantage.)

9. Consistency exudes reliability ( you see this in all the major players )

10. Focus on all, one at a time

Is it all about Recognition, Promotional Products, Awards Program and Incentives? NO!! It's about business. It's about you. It's about them.

You've heard it said 'Business is Business' but I believe more and more that 'Business is Family'. Sure there are times when bad things happen but you get over it, solve the problems and get back to business. Get the 'family' working again.

American Body Building Supplement Products - American Body Building Products Explained

Products sold by the American Body Building Company are said to be of a higher quality than most. This article will explain all you need to know about the American Body Building Company and the products that it offers.

The American Body Building Company came into existence in approximately 1985 and have been providing body builders with high quality body building products since that time. It is said that this company is the only sports nutrition based organization that actually produces every type of body building product. The products manufactured range from sports drinks to body building supplements and also nutrition bars.

The philosophy of this organization centers around that really the effectiveness of your body building efforts relies wholly on your diet, the exertion when training and the amount of rest you get during your workouts. The ABB firmly believes that when you combine your intense body building workout program with an effective diet and adequate rest you will achieve your goals much faster.

Their products are extensively tested and have been scientifically proven to be very effective in the competitive body building product market. Not only they they strive for superior quality and service. They are also very stringent in the quality control of the ingredients used in their products. So much so that their supplies are required to supply Certificates of Authenticity to ensure that the ingredients are of the highest quality.

While many fitness centers frequently sell these products to body builders they are just as easily available online also.

It is important when choosing body building products that you choose quality products made from superior ingredients. If you short-change your nutritional supplements you will only be short-changing your body building goals.

Nutrition is only one part of your body building plan. I recently put a number of body building products to the test to siphon out the products that really do work to the ones that are pretty useless. My results will surprise you. Check out the website below for more information.

Copyright 2007. Body builders are spending a fortune on body building products that just dont work. Thats why I put the so-called best body-building products to the test. Not all body building weight training products are created equally, nor do they live up to the amazing results that they promise. The shocking truth is exposed at my body building weight training review site. Only go with body building weight training products that you trust. Attracting Your Fitter Body

Have you wondered whether you could use the power of your thoughts to help you lose weight and get fit? Of course you can! There are a few things you need to do to make sure you succeed.

First of all, you need to realize all the negativity being thrown at you about weight. You get told all the time that if you eat a particular food, you will get fat. Or, you get told that because others in your family are overweight, you are destined to be fat. Perhaps your mother told you that it was much harder to lose weight after 40, so now you simply do not try as you get older. These are common things we all hear and accept as truth. What you believe to be true becomes the reality. You have made your efforts much more difficult, even impossible, by taking these thoughts and attributing authority to them.

Examine the ideas and beliefs you have about exercise, fitness and diet. If you believe that sitting at a desk all day without ever getting any exercise will cause you to gain weight, then that is what will happen. What we expect to happen determines what actually happens. If you want to change the outcome, you have to work on how you think first. Starting now to change how you think and what you do will bring very real results in changes to your body. The good news is that you have complete control over every outcome.

A lot of us confuse self-image with our bodies. Your true self is what makes you YOU, your skills and abilities and what is in your heart. The type of body you have is not your true self. How you see your body however can and does affect how you feel about yourself. Changing your thoughts will change everything. When you look at yourself in the mirror every morning, do you make a disgusted face at the image? How much negative energy did you just spoon-feed yourself (pun intended)? When you are feeling negative, you attract more of the same.

In order to start attracting better things for yourself and realize the fitter body that you used to have or have always wanted, stop judging yourself. You only have this one body and it needs your care. You can change it so that you can live a healthier, happier life. Starting right now, look in the mirror and love yourself, as clichd as that sounds. Just try it and you will be amazed at how much better you feel. If you feel better, your thoughts will be more positive. In turn, you will become better motivated to start attracting the things into your life that will bring that fitter body to you.

By the time you finish reading this you will have the basics down to eating to gain weight fast!

Gaining weight fast takes much more than just eating though. In following Parts of this course we will cover:

Lesson 2: Training To Gain Weight Fast
Lesson 3: Rest And Recuperation To Gain Weight
Lesson 4: Planning A Routine For Gaining Weight
Lesson 5: Supplements To Gain Weight
Lesson 6: Answers To Some Commonly Asked Questions about Gaining Weight.

If you would like to receive all 6 parts of this Mini Course to gain weight by email, you can go to here and sign up.

http://www.gainmuscleandlosefat.com

Each one of these jam packed lessons needs to be applied to your gain weight routine if you truly want to gain weight as fast as you can!

Let's now continue with the rest of my Eating Tips To Gain Weight!

Gain Weight Tip-6: Eat "Power Meals" For Added Energy and To Gain Weight.

Power meals is the term I came up for a particular meal structure that if eaten at specified times during the day can boost your bodys abilty to Gain Weight.

A power meal is basically a meal which comprises of a quick digesting source of protein and particular energy foods which also digest quickly and help to increase blood glycogen levels as fast as possible.

An example of this would be a quality whey protein powder blended with certain fruits.

Power meals are for these specified times only. Too many power meals will compromise building lean muscle by increasing fat gain and lowering your sensitivity to insulin.

Gain Weight Tip-7: Eat Foods Your Body Requires For Optimal Growth Hormone Production and Health.

To naturally produce hormones your body requires for gaining weight, specifically testosterone, you need to give it the building blocks it requires. Testosterone is made from cholestrol ( simplified). To gain weight by building muscle you need testosterone. This is the main difference why males are more muscular than females. It is because men have higher testosterone levels than females. To give your body what it requires for optimal hormone production you require the right fats in your gain weight diet.

Examples of these fats would include:

coconut oil

animal fats

eggs

Essential oils

butter

cheese

Stay away from trans fats and hydrogenated fats!!

Gain Weight Tip-8: Eat Enough Fibre

Fibre is not talked about much in relation to gaining weight but is important for digestive system health and nutritional assimilation. It is also important to keep your digestive system moving and assimilating as much nutrient as it can per day. Kind of like an assembly line! The more production you can get out of your digestive system the more you can fuel your muscles for gaining weight!

Gain Weight Tip-9: Eat Enough Protein Per Meal

It is crucial you get enough protein per day and spread it out throughout your day. Protein requirements have been exagerated for many years in the interests to sell more protein.

On the other hand protein requirements are definitely higher for a person or athlete training to gain weight than for a lazy couch potato hunting for his next show with a remote control! At least one gram per pound of lean body mass is required to build muscle to gain weight and up to 1.5 grams per pound of lean muscle mass is optimal for heavy intense weight training.

Gain Weight Tip-10: Choose Your Supplements Wisely.

There are lots of supplements to choose from on the market and 99% of them are inferior to natural food for building muscle to gain weight. Natural food is higher in many naturally occuring vitamins and minerals benficial for muscle growth. Stay away from weight gain powders. These are just empty calories not much different than most junk foods on the market. Supplements that are worth trying are Creatine monohydrate , L Glutamine ( in moderation and carefully) and a good healthy protein powder without artificial sweeteners, colors and flavours( more on in a later lesson).

Gym Workout Bodybuilding Tips

Gym workout programs can vary dramatically from bodybuilder to bodybuilder. One gym bodybuilding workout for one bodybuilding enthusiast can deliver outstanding results while another gym workout can be a disappointment for another bodybuilder.

After thousands of bodybuilding fitness consulting sessions, and publishing a popular weight training guide, I constantly teach bodybuilders a results proven gym workout routine that builds muscle fast.

All you have to do is follow my 8 Gym Workout Bodybuilding Tips and you will soon see your muscle building results double.

8 Gym Bodybuilding Workout Tips

1. Have a clear weight training routine purpose.

Upon entering the gym it is imperative to have a clear cut bodybuilding routine plan of action. You should know exactly what exercises you will perform, how much weight you will need to lift, and how many reps you must beat. Therefore, your whole bodybuilding routine is 100% planned, set in stone, prior to beginning your gym workout. You must walk into the gym with a definite plan, and purpose.

2. Be in a "warrior" high intensity weight training state of mind.

It is crucial to enter the gym workout focused. I can remember entering the gym and instantly beginning to perspire. I mentally had worked myself up into state of high intensity weight training desire. This is even before I lifted one weight. It is called focus, and anticipation.

Bodybuilding results are only seen when you force yourself to grow. That takes high intensity weight training, as well as ultra high mental focus. Your mind should be totally focused on conquering the next rep. It is important to imagine yourself forcing out that one additional muscle building repetition.

In an effective gym workout, your attitude, and drive will determine your altitude of muscle development.

3. Focus on effective pre- gym workout bodybuilding nutrition.

Make sure you ingest a small amount of complex carbohydrates, and protein approximately 2 hours prior to beginning your gym workout. This will assure you of getting the adequate amounts of energy producing nutrients to expel in your high intensity weight training session.

Another extremely important gym workout tip is to make sure you are properly hydrated with, preferably, water. You should be consuming at least one-half of your bodyweight in ounces each and every day.

Bodybuilding training preparations are similar to space shuttle preparations. Your goal should be to get your system ready for a high intensity weight training blast off.

4. Did you bring your bodybuilding workout log to your gym workout?

One of the biggest mistakes bodybuilders consistently make is neglecting to track their weight lifting progress. Without measuring progress, there generally is little improvement. How do you know what you are suppose to beat if you have no data? How can a department store set sales goals if they don't track sales? It is just absolutely silly seeing bodybuilders completing their gym workouts without recording any data. That what is not measured will not improve.

5. Gym workouts are for training, not socializing.

Remember, you are in the gym to get muscle building results. If you are talking and goofing around, how in the world can you be ultra focused on going to war with the weights? Get your work done, and then socialize if you wish. I tell my clients to stay focused, and don't allow distractions. Focus on conquering that near impossible, muscle growth repetition.

6. Use only proven bodybuilding program principles.

Don't listen to Joe Bodybuilders newest theory on building muscle. Stick to what has been scientifically proven to work. Beware of all the gym chatter floating around. To discover all of the most advanced proven bodybuilding principles visit my muscle building weight training guide presented in digital audio. Bodybuilding Done Right is a how to bodybuilding audio revealing the proven scientific bodybuilding program principle the pros use, but refuse to share.

7. Avoid Overtraining.

Once you have completed your pre-designed 100% high intensity bodybuilding routine, it is time to get out of the gym, and go home and grow. Hold yourself back from doing one extra set. Remember, more is not necessarily better. Stick to your plan. With high intensity weight training you need less volume of work. Any extra basic weight training exercises could be counter productive to your bodybuilding muscle growth.

Get out of the gym, and let your body compensate, and later overcompensate with added fat burning muscle tissue.

Also, make sure your body has fully recovered from the previous gym workout before you train again.

8. Begin the recovery process with optimal bodybuilding nutrition.

You have an hour after your high intensity weight training workout to replenish your glycogen levels, thus, aiding in the muscle building, and recovery process. Take in two parts complex or simple carbohydrates with one part protein. This is an important bodybuilding tip that has been proven to aid in the muscle recovery, and building process. So power your gym workout with these proven tips.

These are 8 important gym workout tips that should be followed. Following these bodybuilding workout tips will do wonders for your weightlifting, muscle building results.

Simple Success System For Daily Results

With so much to do and so little time, how in the word can I manage my time? This is probably the most paradoxical question for many of us. We all have the same 24 hours a day and the same 365 days of the year. Yet, some get so much more done in that time. How do they do it? What is their secret? Well, I know what my "secret" has been, and it has allowed me to have as much time as I want to spend with my lovely wife and my beautiful two year old son. I believe everyone should have this Simple Success System Secret, so I trust you will read on and benefit from using it yourself.

I am breaking it down into very specific questions to guide you through the process. However, before I share those questions I must state a few key components in order for this "secret" to give you maximum results.

First, you MUST write down your responses to the questions I share with you. Having the answers in your mind will NOT do it. It has been proven time and time again that just having the thoughts without writing them down are nowhere nearly as effective as putting them down on paper. There is something almost magical about putting things down on paper, it seems to be the beginning of manifesting something into reality. Think about it, everything that has every come into existence, has in some way or another made it on print, prior to it taking form. Yes, thoughts come first, but it is when those thoughts are put on paper that they really begin to take form. So, WRITE it down.

Second, this Simple Success System is much more effective when done either last thing before going to bed, or the very first thing upon arising. I trust there is some psychological scientific explanation for this. However, the one that made the most sense to me was that it is at these two times that my subconscious is most open and available at these times. Think about it for just a moment, when you go to bed, you give your subconscious mind anywhere between 5-8 hours (or more for us sleepy heads) to sort out what you are wanting to accomplish the next day. That's a pretty long time and to top it off, it is when you are often most relaxed (allowing for an even more effective mindset). If you do it in the morning, there is that morning fog, where your analytical mind hasn't kicked in yet, and your subconscious mind is open, available and rested. And if you've ever watched "The Secret" you understand that this is where you tell your subconscious mind, "This is what I want my day to look like..." and your subconscious mind will begin to do everything it can to make it so. So, how about telling it exactly what you want your day; to be like. Think of yourself as a script writer, and you are writing a script for your perfect day.

    Professionally:

    - What are the top 5 highest priority professional action items.

    - What are the top 5 medium priority professional action items.

    - What are the top 5 LOW priority professional action items

    - My most important calls to make today are...

    - My most important emails to address today are...

    Personally

    - What are the top 5 things I am doing to take care of myself today.

    - What are my top personal relationship action items I am willing to nurture today?

    - What am I willing to do today to "Pay it forward" (or be of service)?

    - What am I grateful for today?

  • Once you've completed your list keep it somewhere you can see it consistently throughout the day.
The process itself should take no longer than 10 minutes. However, the "secret" to you getting the results you want is based on the following premises. First, write it down. Second, do this process in the morning upon awakening or just before going to bed. Third, put it somewhere you can see it. Finally, and most 59Cimportantly, do the highest top priority things FIRST before moving onto anything else. Do this and results are guaranteed.

I trust this is of service to you and you will decide to make the use of these tools a habit. Enjoy creating your next level of success. For additional resources on health, wealth, and growth articles simply visit us at www.bodymindsuccess.com.

Self Development And Growth

When starting out the the area of self development and growth, one of the most important anAA8d basic skills to learn is the skill to deal with issues in your life.

Many sources often overlook the process of how to change. The process is long and hard, and often you will lose motivation and forget your goals for self improvement. While you may yearn for instant gratification and instant change, the reality is that it just wont happen overnight. Habits take a long time to form and break; deeper psychological issues that a long time to resolve.

Often when people deal with their issues, they're dealing with it in a LOGICAL manner. This doesn't motivate you because motivation is EMOTIONAL. When you feel emotionally affected towards the issue, you will have the drive to resolve the emotions. This is the basis for my model of dealing with issues.

Without further ado, here it is: Dealing with issues, the 4 steps.

1. Figure out what the issue is.

This first point is ridiculously obvious, but incredibly important and oftentimes looked over. In many instances, we believe that we're dealing with one problem when in reality we're actually facing problems with a deeper inner issue.

For example, in the world of dating and relationships, the actual act of meeting members of the opposite sex can be quite daunting. The possibility of rejection, the fear that they will dislike you is present. No one likes to think that they are incompetent with the opposite sex, and this is the issue that may arise and challenge them if they approach and get rejected. So they sit at the back of the bar with their friends talking about how they're 'pimps' and 'could pick up anyone in this bar' but 'they don't want to' because 'no one here is worth it'.

What is happening here is an avoidance of the real issue: they depend on other's approval and reactions to feel good about themselves. An issue of low self esteem and low self confidence.

This issue would not be realised without some serious hard thinking and the ability to see things for what they really are. Your mind and ego will throw up a million different cognitions to throw you off the real issue because the truth hurts your sense of self.

This first point is ridiculously simple yet hard to realize.

2. Experience the issue.

This is different. I swear by this technique 100%.

When you figure out what the issue is, it's going to try and hide. It's going to throw up excuses as to why you have those cognitions. You're going to want to avoid the issue. Yeah that's right, you know what I'm talking about. This is the nerd realising that they suck with women but rationalising it as due to their studies or the fact that they "don't have time", then using that as a constanB07t excuse not to GO OUT and MEET women. Or the woman who has emotional issues that affect her relationships but blames her relationship problems on her looks.

By experience the issue I mean to feel it fully. You KNOW it's there, you aren't going to avoid it. You just broke up with your partner? It feels crap. Don't avoid having the feelings. You're scared of chatting up that cutie? Don't avoid the issue. Immerse yourself in the experience of feeling like that.

Only then do you have a solid base for your motivation to get the problem fixed.

3. Act on resolving the issue

After experiencing the feelings that you don't want to feel, make a decision to ACT upon the issues. After all, just pointlessly making yourself feel bad is... pointless. So what did you do? Make a commitment to take steps forward in solve the issue. If you're afraid that people will 'reject' you then approach people until you emotionally realise that 'rejection' by a stranger means nothing more than the fact that you approached them in the wrong way. If you're avoiding exercise because of an underlying issue of laziness, get out there and exercise! Do you actually WANT to be unhealthy? How does being unhealthy feel?

Experiencing the issue should give you the MOTIVATION to ACT on the issue. If you don't act, you'll just stay the same. Do you really want to feel the way you felt when you were experiencing the issue? I doubt it.

4. Figure out your other issues

In self improvement, it is critical to remember that your problems will NEVER end and you will ALWAYS have issues to deal with. Reality is harsh.

If you're serious about improving yourself, keeping this in mind will help you a lot. You will always have something to fix. Take a break once in a while, moderate how much you work on yourself, but never forget that you always have something to improve. Read "The way of the superior man" by David Deida. It gives a good description of this point.

I'd dare say your not as good with women as you wish you were, your looking for something that can take you above and beyond 99% of men for free, it's here, you just have to reach out and grab it.

Have fun,

-- Solace

A Checklist for Changing Me to Change Them

"The cruelest lies are often told in silence." Robert Lewis Stevenson, 19th century Scottish poet, novelist, and essayist

We can't build a team or organization that's different from us. We can't make them into something we're not. Failing to follow this principle is the single biggest reason that so many team and organization change and improvement efforts flounder or fail. The changes and improvements we try to make to others must ring true to the changes and improvements we're also trying to make to ourselves. The following is a checklist:

Are You Trying to Make Your Organization or Team Into Something You're Not?

To What Extent am I:

Attempting to change my organization or team without changing myself?

__ Prodding my organization to be more people (customer/partner) focused when I am a Technomanager (driven by management systems and technology)?

__ Driving for industry or market leadership when I am afflicted with the Pessimism Plague and/or Victimitis Virus?

__ Striving to stimulate and energize others when I am not pa59Cssionate about my own role and life's work?

__ Promoting organization or team vision, values, and mission when my own picture of my preferred future, principles, and purpose aren't clear and/or well aligned with where I am trying to lead others.

__ Pushing for a customer-driven organization while controlling and dominating, rather than serving (servant-leadership)?

__ Aspiring to develop new markets and fill unmet needs while spending limited time with customers, partners, or those serving them?

__ Trying to build a learning organization when my own rate of personal growth and development is low?

__ Declaring the urgency of higher levels of innovation while I stick to familiar personal methods and traditional command and control management approaches?

__ Aiming for disciplined organization or team goal and priority setting when I am not well organized, a poor personal time manager, and fuzzy about my own goals and priorities?

__ Setting organization improvement plans without an improvement process of my own?

__ Promoting teamwork and a team-based organization without providing a personal model of team leadership and team effectiveness in action?

__ Supporting high levels of skill development for everyone else?

__ Forcing accountability, performance appraisal, and measurement on others while I defend, avoid, or half-heartedly gather personal feedback?5B4

__ Proclaiming empowerment and involvement while controlling and limiting people with a centralized structure and systems that constrain rather than support?

__ Talking about the need for better communications without becoming a strong and compelling communicator?

__ Establishing formal reward and recognition programs when my personal habits of giving sincere recognition and showing genuine appreciation are weak?

__ Espousing support for change champions while suppressing "off the wall" behavior and pushing people to follow my plans and stay within in my established system?

__ Advocating reviews and assessments while doing little personal reflection and contemplation?

What do my answers tell me about my leadership? Does this exercise help explain the positive, negative, or so-so results of the team and organization improvement efforts I lead? My reflections are important, but an even better source of feedback are the people on my team or those in my organization who know my leadership behavior well enough to give me some feedback. Ironically (and tragically), managers who need it most the weakest leaders are the least likely to ask for this kind of feedback.

The Motivation Myth

"It is the ultimate management conceit that we can motivate people." Peter Scholtes, team effectiveness consultant and author

After six years at Universal Pictures, Harry Cohn formed Columbia Pictures in 1924. During the following decades he ran the company with an iron fist. His image as a tyrant was reinforced by the riding whip he kept near his desk to crack for emphasis. Cohn form of "motivation" led to the greatest creative turnover of any major studio. At his funeral in 1958, one observer suggested that the thirteen hundred attendees "had not come to bid farewell, but to make sure he was actually dead."

Some parents want their kids to be independent as long as they do everything they're told to. Some team leaders want their teams to be empowered as long as they follow directions. What some "leaders", call "motivation" is getting others to carry out their orders. Some seem to live by the philosophy that if I want any of your bright ideas I'll give them to you. Just do what you're told...and look like you're enjoying it. These forms of "motivation" are based on fear and force. If the punishment is strong enough and the policing rigid enough, they will lead to compliance. People will follow the rules and marching orders. But that's all. Energy, creativity, and extra effort will be minimal. So will ownership and commitment. The only passion tyrants and autocrats create are fear, loathing, and the desire for revenge.

The key problems of the Motivation Myth are clearly illustrated by a Farcus cartoon; a team leader is at the head of a conference table addressing her team with these words, "we need to improve morale, any of you boneheads have a good idea." The main cause of the problem seems pretty obvious. She just needs to look in the mirror. But obviously the obvious isn't always so obvious. Root causes and symptoms are continuously confused. The Farcus team leader is treating low morale as a problem to be solved rather than an indicator of much deeper issues. Clearly a key source of a deeper problem is her contempt for her team and her forcefulness. Her approach is like an auto mechanic reporting, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

Many of the symptoms and root causes of motivation and morale can be clarified by understanding the doing versus being aspects of mobilizing and energizing. We need to get beyond "do to" programs and techniques. The big sticks of fear, punishments, and discipline or the carrots of incentives and rewards may work in the short term. But to keep them working, we need to continually increase the beatings or sweeten and vary the incentives. Eventually the beatings will burn people out and they will quit. Some will leave and find other jobs. Many will silently resign and continue to report for work everyday.

People should be fairly rewarded for their contributions. The absence of money can be demotivating, but its presence doesn't provide healthy, long-term motivation. Using money or types of incentives to get increased performance turns people into selfish, self-centered mercenaries who are increasingly tuned into WIFM (what's-in-it-for-me). Pride, teamwork, concern for customers, shared values, growing and developing, passion, meaningful work, and the like fade. These become hollow words that raise "the snicker factor" whenever they are heard.

Effective mobilizing and energizing goes well beyond "doing" programs to the "being" or culture of a team, organization, or any group including a family. That culture is a set of shared attitudes and accumulated habits around "the way we do things here." The culture provides the context or backdrop that either energizes or exhausts people.

You Can Be Self Motivated

You have probably heard that sharing a burden lightens the burden in half. What 548is equally as true is that telling other people your hopes and dreams waters down the power you gained in focusing on your goals. The response you will usually get from others is a lack of belief in your vision even when the other person is only looking out for your best interests. It's a rare event when someone else can see the vision you have for your life. Others are more likely to start picking your dreams apart and pointing out all the things that are wrong with them.

You are feeling motivated, feeling great about your life and the direction things are going. Along comes your sister or your best friend who take aim and just shoot you down. You get told to do a reality check. That certainly lets the air of you and there go all of those good feelings you were having about your future. Well, here is a reality check. You are the only one who can keep your motivation going.

Keep the urge to share your dreams to yourself until you have control over your emotions. Once you have focus on your dreams, negative comments will not dilute the power of your dreams. Until you can do this, mediate on your goals privately. The main reason to share with someone else is because you are having doubts about how capable you are of following your goals. You are seeking positive feedback. Unfortunately, the reinforcement you5A1 want is rarely offered.

There's nothing wrong with sharing your dreams and seeking positive feedback, except that you're looking for it in the wrong places and will probably wind up getting just the opposite. Not always, but why take that chance until you feel stronger about your dreams and goals? This need for feedback relates directly to your degree of belief in yourself. When you genuinely trust in yourself and are fully motivated to succeed, you will find that you do not need reinforcement because you have already supplied that for yourself!

Rather than looking for outside reinforcement or validation, concentrate on ways that YOU can step up your motivation. Keep building yourself up with your own version of pep talk and keep your ultimate destination in the forefront of your mind. Take steps you know will get you where you want to go. If you must seek advice and encouragement along they way, look for it only from those who have achieved what you're attempting to accomplish. There are almost always others who have paved the way for you. You will build up your inner strength eventually to the point where it will not count what others say and do. That will be the day when no one will be able to deflate your motivation again. Remember to be self-motivated and take those action steps needed to reach your goals.

5 Great Tips To Make Your Goals Your Reality

Goals are a great tool for motivation. But if you don't use them correctly, they can also be a source of frustration. Goals are only empowering if they are used properly. So how do you make a goal into something that is a benefit for you?

Goal-setting strategies are important especially for to help you create the type of success you desire and deserve. Here are five goal-setting techniques to help you realize them.

  1. Balance Your Goals: In your life you will have personal development goals, personal finance goals and things goals. Don't neglect any of them. It is ok to want things, but don't forget to balance those pursuits with your own growth as a person. All of these goals are important so be clear about all of them and make them real for you.
  2. Plan Actions From Your Goals: Goals are not items for your to do list. Your goal is what you are striving for. Plan specific actions that lead you towards those goals. Use the goals to provide your compass for those actions. When you plan actions for the day you can easily tell if they're going to be effective if you have clear goals to compare them against.
  3. Share Your Goals: If you were an archer, would you keep it a secret that your goal is to hit the bull's-eye? Too many keep their goals a secret. Share your goals with people who will support and encourage your aims.
  4. Write Down Your Goals: Make your goals real by recording them. Put copies of your goals on index cards and keep copies in the car and in the bathroom and review them regularly. Make them the center of your focus. Don't just set them and then ignore them. Your goals are like a compass to tell you which way to go. The exciting part is that you get to chose the alignment of your compass.
  5. Don't Give Up: Your goals and the actions you take to get them are different things. Don't be afraid to try something, f57Dail and try something else. Take effective and massive action to meet your goals and understand that any true goals will take many steps to achieve. Sometimes you will make a misstep, but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the goal. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's only those who abandon their goals who don't achieve them.

What is Sixth Sense

Sixth sense or extrasensory perception (ESP) is an ability to perceive the subtle dimension or the unseen world of angels, ghosts, heaven, etc. Sixth sense (ESP) includes the ability to understand the subtle cause and effect relationship behind many events beyond the understanding of the intellect.

The subtle world is made up of five cosmic elements (earth, water, fire, air and ether) which cannot be seen. Though we cannot perceive this world which impacts our lives to a great extent, we can tune into it using our spiritual antenna i.e. our sixth sense (ESP). Sixth sense (ESP) can be developed by doing spiritual practice, according to the five basic principles of Spirituality which increases our spiritual level and enables us to perceive and experience the subtle world to greater degrees.

Subtle information can be perceived by 11B4either:

1) Letting a subtle entity use ones hand to write the message (automatic writing)

2) By a vision where one can see the words or passages in front of ones eyes, or

3) Through thoughts. Receiving the answer in thoughts is most subtle among the three ways.

Subtle knowledge is received from either of the following sources:

1) Automatically due to the ability to tap into the Universal Mind and Intellect, or

2) As answers to questions asked by one to subtle entities using ones sixth sense (ESP) through the medium of ones subtle mind and intellect.

Which person will receive knowledge through the subtle intellect will depend on a number of reasons. The spiritual level of a person is one of the key factors in deciding which person receives knowledge from the subtle. Other factors include: motivation and intense yearning of the person, necessity for Gods mission, resolve and blessings of a spiritual guide beyond the 70% spiritual level, and destiny of the person.

Sometimes people have premonitions of things to happen or a gut feel of events that have happened in the past. This is possible in two ways.

One way is through subtle bodies like ghosts from the nether region or hell. If the ghost or subtle body does not have this ability, it gets the information from higher-level ghosts like higher sorcerers with this ability.

The second is by accessing the Universal Mind and Intellect. There are seven layers to the Universal Mind and Intellect. Depending on ones grade of sixth sense (ESP), a person may be able to tap into a lower or higher layer of the Universal Mind and Intellect.

A person at the spiritual level of 40% generally receives knowledge from a subtle body of a corresponding spiritual level i.e. 40%, however the accuracy and the grade of the knowledge received through their sixth sense (ESP) is also 40%.

Up to the spiritual level of 70%, the receipt of knowledge through sixth sense (ESP) is more likely to be from ghosts, and hence it is accompanied by a proportion of black energy which creates various problems in ones life. Those unaware of the mechanisms of the receipt of knowledge through their sixth sense (ESP) may be ignorant of this aspect and hence blindly believe in all the knowledge received. The subtle bodies usually give some correct knowledge at the outset to garner belief. Once this is established, they give varied degrees of incorrect or misleading information.

Sixth sense (ESP) is to be used only for spiritual growth towards God-Realisation which is the ultimate in spiritual growth. From a purely spiritual perspective, it is considered misuse when sixth sense (ESP) is used for anything else, such as worldly matters. When sixth sense (ESP) is misused by a person who is psychic, over time two things happen. On is that the ability is lost over a 30 year period. The second is that the person becomes target of higher level ghosts which initially give some genuine information, enough to gain the confidence of the person. However they later mislead them and the people they are guiding. In such cases, their psychic ability lasts for longer periods and may appear to have improved steadily. But this psychic ability is not by virtue of the person but because of the higher level ghosts guiding the psychic. In such cases, the rare gift of sixth sense available to the person that could have been utilised for God-realisation is wasted on lesser matters.
