A Mind Muted

A cold evening and somehow the noise has died down. I find my way up to the top of my apartment for no particular reason. The day was good.

The breeze was strong, yet somehow it slowed down, as if in a mark of respect to me it seems to have bowed to me. It's not gushing any more, just flows down gently singing a soothing note and cool just enough to send surprising a chill down me now and again.

There are children playing down there, but they seem distant.. almost in another world. I lie down with my hands behind my head, looking at a sky that somehow seems new. There is a new sky tonight.

My breath slows down, deciding to rest for a while. Its been running hard for over 2 decades now, but the air seems to have put it in a strange trance.. and it seems to lay down beside me.. taking a pause before toiling to keep me alive again...

give me this moment
it seems so much mine
for in this moment
i feel i own time

I close my eyes, the darkness seems lighter today. The perpetual black of the night has a strange hue of a color I don't know of.. there is a spark in the horizon which I don't really see. I felt as if someone was looking over me; a moment passes by and now I feel someone is looking at the world through me and my closed eyes.

Eyes open, I sit up staring at the window of an apartment across the road. I don't realize anything, I can't figure out anything. Resting on my hands stretched behind me I look up at the sky. It is blank, much like my mind and so thoughtless I stare. It seemed as if a heavy mind just lost its weight and floats. A feather with a golden tinge is all I see though it is nowhere near me. I bask in that moment.

I see nothing, I hear nothing.. I think nothing.. yet at that moment I didn't feel no happiness.. of course there was no trace of remorse either, but it wasn't a state of happiness... still I wanted to remain in that state and just as I thought a shy smile spread.. a loud honk below and my eyes open.. I hear the noise below... children laughing and shouting, the birds of the evening chirping flying about with a cheerful disposition to themselves. The thought of happiness ..the smile.. it broke me away from that moment.. I was feeling cheerful now but it wasn't what I was a moment back.. this cheeriness seemed incomplete for its not what I sought...I wanted to be in that moment .. thoughtless and pristine.. I looked around trying to find an answer .. a happy man was looking for something beyond

The moment passed it never came back... and I wonder now is it happiness that we seek in life..

Networking is an important part of any business. You may have the best product or service in the world but if you dont tell, it wont sell. If you dont spend time spreading the word, no-one is going to spend their money in your direction. Especially in the embryonic stages of a business, networking is essential.

You must plant the seed before it can germinate. And there are times when this will seem like a thankless task. But the more you persist in planting, the more possibilities you create. And from possibility shoots opportunity.

You can further strengthen your network by creating bonds. Networking maybe construed as shallow lip-service but when you bond with someone you engender a deeper emotional connection and foster friendship.

You must therefore ask yourself - How can I make such an impression on this person that they will never forget me? Perhaps the way to take an interest in them, your positive demeanor, eye contact, attentive listening, the standards you maintain or the unequivocal quality of your product or service.

Actually, there is a simple, yet powerful five-step process that you should go through each time you meet someone. It is as follows: 1) Go into every interaction with two things (or don't go at all); first a positive attitude, and second, open body language. 2) Be the first to make eye contact (your eyes should reflect your attitude). 3) Smile (I will say it again - be the first to offer a genuine smile, as opposed to a fake one). 4) Hi! That is greet the other person with an authentic and pleasing greeting. 5) The final part of introducing yourself is to lean. For most this is almost imperceptible, but it indicates your interest in the other person.

When you cultivate a bond with people they seldom forget you or your business and, in time, you can expect those small seeds to flourish into wonderful relationships.

You only live once.

Do Love Spells Really Work? If So, How?

There are thousands of books out there teaching people how to cast love spells. But do love spells really work? If so, how? I have extensively reviewed many of the love spells books out there. Most of these spells are designed for one of the following circumstances:

  • To attract a generic lover
  • To attract a particular person
  • To attract a lost love so he/she would return
The spell-casting process involves everything from staring into a picture of the person you want to fall in love with you, and chanting love me love me love me, to carving your wish on a candle and watching it burn down while visualizing your prospective love, to (warning: gross content coming up) sneaking body fluids into the food and/or drink of your prospective lover. There are a million ways to cast a love spell, but Ive found a common element in all of them, without which even the most powerful love spell will fail.

What is this special element? More powerful than black cats bones, more potent than bats wings, this element is Our Hidden Potential.

Deep down, we are really much more powerful than we know. Allow me to let you in on a secret: We Create Our Destiny By What We Think About. (For more information, watch the movie The Secret). The more we visualize something, the more likely it will happen. Visualization is like sending a message out to the universe, which would then re-align itself to give you what you want, even without your knowing HOW to achieve what you want.

Why does nobody love you? Its because deep down inside you dont believe youre attractive. Why did your loved one leave you? You feel insecure and believe s/he would leave you eventually because you dont believe youre worthy of his/her love. The situation youre in may not be this simple, but you get the idea.

The key to getting the person you love to fall in love with you, then, would be to simply close your eyes and visualize that you are already happily together. Feel the joy and happiness, feel the love. See the details: the two of you holding handing, walking on the beach, the wind in your hair, the sand beneath your feet, the whole works. Believe it or not, doing this often enough will make it happen. This is called The Law of Attraction.

But then, does it mean that all those love spells described in the books are bogus?

In one word: NO! Some love spells really work. Many of these spells are designed to help you concentrate your energy and imagination on getting what you want. It may be too boring for you to just sit there, close your eyes, and imagine for a long time, without losing your focus. Believe in yourself and your hidden powers, choose the right love spells, and you WILL make love spells work, and be united with the one you love.

Managing Time and Activities

The mechanics and techniques for managing your time and activities are very simple and well known.

A good book to review the tools and techniques of time and activity management is 'Building Personal Leadership: Inspirational Tools and Techniques for Work and Life'.

What is not so simple are the underlying beliefs, attitudes, and motivations of different types of individuals as they learn to use these tools and techniques.

People manage their time and activities in two very different ways according to Myers-Briggs Personality Type differences. One type of person plans far ahead, starts early, works methodically, is systematic in their actions, and completes tasks quickly.

The other type of person responds spontaneously to work, waits until the last minute to start good jobs , is open to change, and lives more in the moment. That's a big difference!

The person who plans ahead will naturally gravitate towards learning and using systematic and productive time management tools and techniques.

The way they think is in alignment with good time and activity management. They find little resistance to learning and using tools and techniques to increase their productivity and effectiveness. Their motivation may be simply a goal to be achieved and by golly, it is going to be done and done early.

The person who lives in the moment and responds spontaneously to work demands has a greater challenge in learning systematic time and activity management tools and techniques.

Their beliefs support being flexible, not tied to a schedule, responding to present demands, going with the flow, and burning the midnight oil to meet deadlines. Their attitudes are aligned with "wait and see," because assignments could change and so action now could be wasted. Motivation comes from time pressure to meet deadlines of the work that they must do or in work that appeals to their natural preferences.

The easiest solution to great time and activity management for either type is to find work where their natural beliefs, attitudes, and motivations may be best utilized. However, with great energy expenditure, discipline, and desire, the spontaneous person can develop competencies in planning, starting early, working methodically, and becoming systematic in their work. And the natural planner can develop their personality type by learning to become more spontaneous and adaptable to change.

Knowing these differences, both types of individuals and their supervisors can match the work to the personality and support both individuals in developing more effective and productive methods of managing their time and activities.

Remember, one type will find it easy and one type will find it more energy draining and difficult.

Neither way of working and living in the world is right or wrong. Both have their contribution to work and life.

Best wishes in helping people of all types find where they can contribute their best.

Tips on How To Gain Weight Quickly

Tips on how to gain weight quickly are priceless to skinny people who struggle to put on some extra pounds. The world we live in is a contradictory one. There are folks who put on weight rather effortlessly and yearn to lose their weight and fats through unhealthy diets. Yet on the other end of the spectrum, thin people find it tremendously challenging to gain that extra few pounds to enhance their physical appearance and regain some masculine appeal in the case of men. Skinny ladies also dream of fitting nicely into beautiful clothes that look so fabulous on those svelte and voluptuous models. But do not envy those who put on weight too easily, especially those through unhealthy diets. It is better to understand the fundamentals behind healthy weight gain. This is where you can learn more on how to gain weight quickly and healthily.

Before we tackle the issue of how to gain weight quickly, let us look at the reasons why scrawny and thin people fail in gaining weight successfully no matter how hard they try. Survey statistics discovered the following as the top reasons why they are not putting on weight:

1. Poor Diet

Skinny people are not eating right and enough. By that, it means that they are not eating foods that would help them to gain weight. Protein is critical in adding extra weight but many folks do not get enough protein intake. This is where things go awry. So how can they expect to gain weight quickly or for that matter, any significant weight improvement at all? It is important to load more on protein, and less on simple carbs. Read on for specific weight-gain diet foods.

2. Proper Work-out

Eating is not sufficient. We all need to engage in some kinds of physical activities to convert our food intake to healthy mass. This conversion can take place only with proper exercises. People who truly understand how to gain weight quickly do so in a healthy manner with proportionate muscle mass gain.

3. Poor Motivation

Weight gaining or slimming works in a similar manner. Medical practitioners have come to understand that the motivation behind the individual wanting to gain weight is vital to his/her success. Our generation is often called the instant noodles generation where everyone desires instant results. Weight gaining is not an overnight mission, but a long-term goal. Failing to understand this is a sure ingredient for weight gain failure.

Once we are able to acknowledge and work around the common grounds for failure, we are well on our way to successful quick weight gain. Are you ready for some easy-to-follow tips on how to gain weight quickly?

1. Weight Gain Diet Foods 101

I mentioned earlier that eating the right foods and eating enough of them is the key to weight gain. Foods such as fast food, chocolates and other junk food like chips wont do you any good. Any weight gain from such foods would do your health more harm than good.

Cultivate a habit of eating more than your daily energy and calorie needs. First, find out what is your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) which equates your daily calorie need/count to maintain your weight at its current level. Next, start planning your weekly dietary plans to increase your weekly intake by 3500 calories to achieve a weight gain of 1-2 pounds within a week. This translates to an additional 500 calories in your daily calorie intake.

Eat more protein-based food stuff such as beef and chicken. Drink more milk for it is a rich source of protein. Balance your meals with vegetables and nuts as well. Eat 5 or 6 small meals rather than 3 big meals to balance the calorie intake.

2. Weight Gain and Muscle Mass Building Routine

You need to tone up the extra weight you are adding to your bodies so that you dont end up obese. Depending on your preference for physical activities, the 2 kinds of activities recommended here would be useful in complementing with your weight gain diet.

Engage in moderate activities such as brisk walking, jogging or playing a sport for at least 30 minutes for 3-4 times per week. Try to inject some fun into your physical activity so that you would feel encouraged and motivated to cultivate this as a habit and eventually as part of your lifestyle.

Work out in the gym on some resistance training for at least 3 times per week. But before you do so, speak to a qualified physical training instructor who can advise on what exercise routine is suitable for you. If not, go to the library to read up on what are the work-out routines that are ideal for a person of your build and weight.

Knowing these simple tips on how to gain weight quickly should give you better knowledge than most people in the basic building blocks of gaining weight healthily. How To Become a Charismatic Leader

Charisma is a quality that can enable you to accomplish almost everything you could ever want faster than you can imagine. It is a quality that all highly successful people have developed and use to their advantage in everything they do.

Charisma is an indefinable personal magnetism that can earn you the support and cooperation of people in almost everything you do. When you take the necessary steps to develop charisma, people will find themselves attracted to you and will want to help you achieve your goals.

Charisma is a personal magic of leadership that arouses loyalty and enthusiasm in other people. It is a special quality of magnetism that each person has and that each person uses to a certain degree. You have a special charisma to the people who look up to you, who respect and admire you, the members of your family, friends and coworkers. Whenever and wherever a person feels a positive emotion toward another, he or she imbues that person with charisma, or attractiveness.

People who have developed their charisma are often described as having an aura. This aura is a light that is invisible to most people, but not to everyone. This light radiates out from a person and affects the people around that person in a positive or negative way. The halo around the heads of saints and mystics in many religious paintings was the artists attempt to depict the light that many people reported seeing around the heads of these men and women when they were speaking, praying, or in an intense emotional state.

You also have an aura around you that most people cannot see but is there, nevertheless. This aura affects the way people react and respond to you, either positively or negatively. There is a lot that you can do, and a lot of good reasons for you to do it, to control this aura and make it work in your best interests.

If youre a business owner, developing greater charisma can help you tremendously in working with your staff, your suppliers, your bankers, your customers, and everyone else upon whom you depend on for your success. People seem naturally drawn to those who possess charisma. They want to help and support them. When you have charisma, people will open doors for you and bring you opportunities that otherwise would not have been available to you.

In your personal relationships, the quality of charisma can make your life more joyous and happy. People will naturally want to be around you. Members of your family and friends will be far happier in your company, and you will have a greater influence on them, causing them to feel better about themselves and to do better at the important things in their lives.

There is a close association between personal charisma and success in life. Most of your success and happiness in life will come from your relationships and interactions with others. The more positively others respond to you, the easier it will be for you to get the things you want.

Charisma is based on the Law of Attraction. This law states that you inevitably attract into your life people and circumstances that harmonize with your dominant thoughts. You are a living magnet, and you are constantly radiating thought waves, like a radio radiates sound waves, that are picked up by other people. Your thoughts, intensified by your emotions, as radio waves are intensified by electrical impulses, go out from you and are picked up by anyone who is tuned into a similar wavelength. You then attract into your life people, ideas, opportunities, resources, circumstances, and anything else that is consistent with your dominant frame of mind.

Your charisma is really a measure of the power of your personality. It is determined by a variety of factors, most of which you have control over. The critical thing to remember about charisma is that it is largely based on perception. It is based on what people think about you. It is not so much reality as it is what people perceive you to be. For example, one person can create charisma in another person by speaking in glowing terms about that person to a third party. If you believe that you are about to meet an outstanding and important person, that person will then be charismatic to you.

The foundation for developing charisma is having a strong purpose. Men and women with charisma and personal magnetism almost invariably have a clear vision of who they are, of where theyre going and what theyre trying to achieve. Business leaders have a vision of what theyre trying to create and why theyre doing what theyre doing. Theyre focused on accomplishing some great purpose. Theyre decisive about every aspect of their lives. They know exactly what they want and what they have to do to get it. They plan their work and work their plan.

You can increase your charisma and the magnetism of your personality by setting clear goals for yourself, making plans to achieve them, and working on your plans with discipline and determination every day. The whole world seems to move aside for the person who knows exactly where he or she is going. In fact, the clearer you are about your purpose and goals, the more likely people will be to attribute other positive qualities to you. They will see you, or perceive you, as being a better and more admirable human being. And when you have clear goals, you begin attracting to yourself the people and opportunities necessary to make those goals a reality.

You must have strong self-confidence to develop charisma. Men and women with charisma have an intense belief in themselves and in what they are doing. They are usually calm, cool, and composed about themselves and their work. Your level of self-confidence is often demonstrated in your courage and your willingness to do whatever is necessary to achieve a purpose that you believe in.

People are naturally attracted to those people who exude a sense of self-confidence, those who have an unshakable belief in their ability to rise about circumstances to attain their goals. People with strong charisma have developed expertise or competence. The more knowledgeable you are perceived to be in your field, the more charisma you will have among those who respect and admire that knowledge because of the impact it can have on their lives. This is also the power of excellence, of being recognized by others as an outstanding performer in your field. Men and women who do their good jobs extremely well and who are recognized for the quality of their work are those who naturally attract the help and support of others. They have charisma.

One of the most admirable qualities of leaders, which lends a person charisma in the perception of others, is the capacity to step forward and take charge. The leader accepts complete responsibility for getting the job done, without making excuses and blaming anyone. When you take complete responsibility for yourself and your actions, you experience a tremendous sense of control and power that enhances your feeling of well-being and that generates the charisma that is so important to you in attracting the help of others.

When you set clear goals and become determined and purposeful, backing up those goals with unshakable confidence, you develop charisma. When you are enthusiastic and excited about what your are doing, when you are totally committed to achieving something worthwhile, you radiate charisma. When you take the time to study and become an expert at what you do, and then prepare thoroughly for any opportunity to use your knowledge, skill, or experience, the perception that others have of you goes up. When you take complete responsibility and accept ownership, without making excuses or blaming others, you experience a sense of control that leads to the personal power that is the foundation of charisma.

By merely looking like a winner in every respect, you will have the kind of external image that others admire, you build your charisma. When you develop your character by setting high standards and then discipline yourself to live consistent with the highest principles you know, you become the kind of person who radiates charisma to others. Finally, when you concentrate your energies on achieving the results that you have been hired to accomplish, the results that others expect of you, you develop the reputation for performance and achievement that inevitably leads to the perception of charisma.

You can develop the kind of charisma that opens doors for you by going to work on yourself, consistently and persistently, and becoming the kind of person everyone can admire and look up to. In the final analysis, that is what charisma is all about.

As you delve deeper into the Law of Attraction and the processes that you need to take to have the universal law of the universe work with you and not against you, one of the key things that you will discover is your own social conditioning can and does work against you at every step of the way. Why do I say that I here you ask? Just think about the social conditioning that has been placed on you as a child, through the teens and into early days as an adult. Typical things Im talking about would be for a boy but equally have there own conditions for girls. Things like: grow up big and strong, dont cry, and dont show your emotions, what are you a man or a wimp. You have all heard them and in part, if you are a parent, used them at various times on your children. We tend to suppress free thinking for social and our community expectations.

What this conditioning has done to us is make us very judgmental. We move through these processes especially within Western Society at our cost. Our judgmental nature has been the breeding grounds for so many of the evils in our society today, such as racism, road rage and bullying to mention just a few. We are training people not to be as one in a community but of a self level. The old whats in it for me attitude. The world owes me a living mentality that pervades our youth today as they live in the Want It society. A want society built out of the baby boomers who were a Lets have it society where 20% of the population consumed 86% of the world resources.

Our training was designed over the decades to make us judgmental. We were taught to see the issues, the risks etc and to make a decision on them at a rapid pace. For early man it was to react in time to save themselves from being eaten. As time progressed into the industrial revolution, it was to avoid life threatening issues and injury and in our current western society it is a key part of decisions taken in the deal making process within industry. We must react quickly or miss out.

Everything is done at a very rapid rate. As a result the mind concentrated on what it believes is the key points, as it shuffles through the vast amount of information being presented? Research into our decision making processes clearly shows we all operate at different rates with different responses. These responses are clearly related to the learning /schooling we received, what exposure we have had to the situation before or similar related issue and finally how much risk we are prepared to take commonly called our risk aversion level. As our judgments, as we have previously stated, are built on avoiding risk or harm or injury to ourselves.

So where does Noticing come into the situation and how does it impact on The Law of Attraction and the response we receive from participation with these universal laws. The key is to look at what our decision making process does. Key among the points is the fact that our decision making process drops information. Our five senses work overtime, all day every day screening out all that surrounds us, while storing some of the information for possible future use. We screen what is being provided to us. We drop from our immediate short term memory what we scan as not important. We become selective about importance of issues. Based not in most part the actual truth, but based, as we pointed out earlier, on our learning, our prior involvement and importantly our risk levels. You see it every day in the introvert and extroverts of our world. Extroverts work on minimal information making decisions on the run never looking back, while introverts look for the fine detail, seeking the weaknesses in the decision being made not just the strengths the extroverts tend to run with. Introverts do not fly by the seat of there pants, on gut feelings or the extroverts we can fix it as we go attitude. Thats why in business you need both types within the organization, where neither side has control of the total decision making process.

The key situation for leading managers is to balance these two types at the levels needed for the particular specifics of there industry. The key problem they face is the fact that one tends to hire those people we feel most at ease with and this is usually those with your attitude. How many times do you here both sides blaming each other to others about this or that decision that was made or not made. So and so wouldnt listen to the issues I pointed out or so and so took to long to make a decision so we missed the deal. Again we are being Judgmental and not Noticing.

Noticing is a very key process and a process we all need to take to heart if we are to progress with the Law of Attraction, in the manifestation of our wants and key desires. We need to slow down the decision making process. Stop making the judgments we normally take through social conditioning and to actually pause and sift through all the information being presented. From this information review we often see something we missed due to the screening our brains impose and in the case of the Law of Attraction the simple direction or steps to be taken, if we are to have that which we were manifesting come to fruition.

Our screening process (noticing) needs to expand to include other into the process. We need to build off the introvert and extravert types and apply their processes as necessary in the final decision making. There is a term called Group Think which has caused many a company to come unstuck and it simply happens when every one looks at the one side without true evaluation of the alternatives. We all want to please, be one with the group and not be the one to speak up. Some companies are so aware of group think, that at key meeting they appoint a dissenter on rotation, who is to be negative to the process under discussion. Their role is to point out counter issues, alternative considerations, possible problems within time lines etc. Why do this I here you ask? It so we notice the things we want to screen out and then drop them for specific reasons not just on screening, learning and knowledge grounds.

We need to become aware of the world around us. The real world, not that which our brain have been socially prepared to accept, not the world that our five senses and even our sixth sense have been conditioned to, as being the norm. We need to seek out the alternative. In relationships we need to just watch people we deal with and try and see things from their side for a change. Try and see their perspective and to notice the information they are basing their decision on. Who knows, they may just have seen what we filtered out or have missed what we filtered in. Take notice do not make judgments, point out your view, but ask for theirs in return so you see what they noticed.

The law of attraction and manifestation is all about Noticing. Noticing exactly what it is we want, noticing the specifics that need to be presented in our visualizations as we seek to attract our manifestations. Noticing the small steps that we need to take to make the manifestation become the reality we seek. Judgment also has a part to play and it always will, but in todays society Noticing is the key skill we need to develop at the expense of our judgment.

Our judgment and sensory screening will always be here and it must be otherwise we would go mad. Our conscious mind cannot take the flood of information our five senses process constantly minute by minute and still have the ability to make standalone judgments. That is why the universe gave us three segments of the mind to control this information overload.

So as you develop your understanding of life under the control of the universal laws, the Law of Attraction, of affirmations and manifestations continue to build on your judgments but never loose site of noticing the world and people around you.

Connect To A Higher Self

The time has come for the mass population on Earth to respond with each of your Divine ability to connect to your Higher Self, God, Holy Spirit, or whatever name you may give to your Highest and purest Spiritual connection to All That Is in the universe.

This is the I AM Presence within you. This is your time to utilize your abilities to seek answers for yourself, and learn how to receive Divine Truth in your life on every level of your life.

There are many guides and teachers both in this world of physical form, as well as in the Higher realms that are all here to assist you to reach the state of personal awakening to the point where you experience this wisdom as a part of your everyday experience, rather than an occasional glimpse of knowing or higher understanding gained from connection to Divine Source so that you may experience this connection during every waking moment of your life.

Divine Truth will always be given to you, and yet it may be difficult to follow as you shed old patterns that no longer serve your highest good in order to embrace new ones that will take you far above what many of you have experienced in this lifetime in your own personal awakening.

Each of you has the same ability that others who have a clear and pure connection to Divine Source has, it is only a matter of practice.

Your sixth sense is your highest sense of all, and it is time in your evolutionary growth that you fully activated it.

Some of you are the way showers. Some of you have become awakened and illuminate the path for others who are first beginning to glimpse their grand spiritual awakening on the personal level.

Some of you may look at these words and wonder what all of this means. That is all right. Each of you knows your place, each of you knows that you are a far greater part of the tapestry of humanity than you may realize.

Remain humble, regardless of where you are on this path to personal awakening.

Have patience for others when they do not understand for this is what God has for you pure unconditional love and patience. So please activate your God-nature so that you can also have pure unconditional love and patience for yourself.

Your time is precious. Your deeds can be turned to the Light once you decide to act out of love, rather than any negative emotions.

The only motive that will ever serve you is love and when this is carried out in your actions, this will return to you multiplied many times more than you can count. Please release all judgment. Please see that each spiritual being is growing at his or her own rate, and please seek to communicate with me when you wish to receive clarity and understanding, guidance and direction. That is what I am here for God is in you working through you living as you, so I ask you only one thing to do unto others as you would have them do unto you and to please release all blame.

Each being is blameless. Your responsibility is a response to your abilities that some of you are just beginning to tap and that is your ability to connect to and receive the guidance of Divine Source at any moment you wish to. All you ever need to do is ask and my response will be to show you that you, just like many ascended masters, carry this same ability within the depths of your being.

Enjoy this journey of awakening. You are as rare as an individual star in the heavens, and your light is needed as much as light is needed upon the Earth.

Be Well.

Taking a Break

My big city friends are always complaining about how they have no time to take a break and when they do they can hardly even relax. It takes a lot to come down from the intensity of the days activities. How many times after a long day at the job have you come home only to go over and over all that happened? Replaying the good and the bad until its time to start again? This is not the way to relax. This only continues to increase stress or, at best, put it aside for moments.

What people need is an alternative that won't shock them. People need to find a way to relax that won't put them through even more stress. Therde are many options available to people, depending on where they live. But even if you do not have access to some of the big city diversions there's a lot that can be done.

When people think about Buddhism they tend to remember that college roommate, the hippie one. Or maybe they think of those blowhard actors in Hollywood with all their money. None of this helps when you need to relax. Meditation is an exceptional way to relieve stress. There are many ways that Buddhists meditate but the crucial point is the discipline to do it and to continue to do it. There are a plethora of books, pamphlets, websites, and magazines devoted to this topic and even the slimmest volume can be of great help, but for those that are averse to those outlets for whatever reason, there is a remedy for you. All you need is some quite, some alone time, and some patience. At first you will think twice as hard about all you want to forget. Meditation is not easy, thus so many books, but once you calm down and get the hang of it you will see results.

But the body gets stressed as much as the mind, what can be done? Exercise is the best answer. Working out will relax you when you've finished. Still, sometimes all you want is to let go and pounding weights won't help. This is when you indulge and find a spa. Somewhere to get pampered. Obviously only the wealthy can do this with frequency. But after you've been to one you can take home some ideas. Indulge in the memory while you soak in a bubblebath at home.

There is a lot that can be done to relieve stress. It's funny, but one almost has to learn to relax in today's world. There are many healthy ways to do so... the important thing to remember is that you must take the time to relax. Otherwise what are you working so hard for?

Successful Workshops

Speak of workshops and people generally perk up with interest. It could be a workshop about gaining confidence. Or it could be about being able to find romance. Workshops are big business these days. So, learning how to attract your audience is the first thing you will need to learn if you are to run a successful workshop.

My art workshops are generally smaller than most workshops you might be imagining. I am not talking about the kinds of audiences that Anthony Robbins and Jack Canfield normally motivate in speaking engagements. But, once in awhile you might see one of these high powered speakers speaking to a group of people the size of one of my normal workshops. A small group of twenty to thirty is about the size you should be expecting as you are just starting out giving workshops.

In a group of this size, you can attract your audience in several ways. Some ideas come from the many talk shows that have paved the way. Other ideas are products of just plain good business. So, its a good thing to try them all.

Have a Controversial Topic

When you run a workshop, controversial topics arent hard to find. Most workshops have controversial issues connected to them anyway. Doing a workshop about gaining confidence has inherent controversial issues. People who have no clue what they are talking about are always attracting all the attention. The people who are the most boring are always the ones with the most information. Those are controversial even though they arent necessarily on a social or political scale.

Coming up with a controversial issue for my own art workshops is as easy as talking about the board of education. With art slowly being cut from the education curriculum, all I have to pitch is the fact that art benefits the kids and their educations. I can raise some great attention just simply putting the news out about the benefits of art and how it is being cut from the schools.

Give Your Audience a Question

Believe it or not, questions are enticing. Especially if you ask an open ended question and you dont give an answer. Scores of people will come to either find out the answer or to give it. Youve just created an issue. It might be your controversial one too. If its a good enough question, youll definitely generate an audience ready to listen. What was the question for the art workshop? Simple.

If you could help improve your childs grades, would you?

Who wouldnt?

Give Something Away

One of the tactics that attract people is when you give something away. Not everyone can be like Oprah and give a car to every member in her audience. But, you can always afford to give something away. Think about the services you provide, not the products you sell. Give time, no money. In my art workshops, I could give members of my audience a free workshop. I could have a system for choosing that would make audience members want to keep coming back to my workshop in hopes that I eventually give them a free workshop.

Think about the services you provide and try to find a give-away in that. You just have to be creative. Make it interesting enough to want and youll have audience members.

This is just the beginning of the system. You have to pull them in and keep them there. You have to keep them coming back in order to make your workshop endeavors a six-figure income enterprise. Workshops can easily be six-figure enterprises, art workshops are.

An internationally known artist as well as a mother of six, Rivky Shimon founded Rivkys Art Workshop in Brooklyn, New York. Rivkys step-by-step method for teaching children how to create and enjoy art has earned high praise from students, teachers and parents alike. Through her new training series, Rivky plans to teach artists from across the country how to duplicate her success. Not only to ensure that art education remains a vital part of every childs life, but also to enforce the reality that "The Rivky Method" tm works the same magic for adults as well.

lWhat Do You Believe In Today

A Successful Life

This world is not lacking in its quest for success, yet so few of us really achieve the success we seek. Perhaps it is because we have not clearly defined success. Merriam-Webster defines success this way: "a favorable or desired outcome." I like this definition because it leaves room for each of us to put our own spin on what success looks like to us. What makes one successful? True success is far more than accolades, money, and degrees. These things can certainly play a role in what success might look like; however, without a clear understanding of what success involves, it will continue to elude us.

So, what does it take to be successful? How do we achieve this "favorable or desired outcome"?

Step one: know who you are. I remember my 8th grade teacher's parting words to me as I ventured on to high school. Quoting William Shakespeare, her advice was, "To thine own self be true." When we are true to ourselves, our lives are governed by our beliefs, our values, and our principles. Consequently, our decisions are based on what is right for us and we stop living to please the rest of the world.

Step two: know who you want to be. This step involves much introspection because, again, it is based on beliefs, values, and principles. It is only after we apply our beliefs, values, and principles to our lives that we can then build a vision of a better self. An old proverb states: "Where there is no vision, the people perish." I take great liberties here to paraphrase by simply saying, "Without a vision of who you want to be, you will surely die without ever knowing who you can become."

Step three: define your mission. A mission is a definite task; it's the reason we exist. I mentioned in a previous article "The Fuel of Motivation" that our mission statement must reflect the values that govern our lives. A clearly articulated mission acts as a vehicle to help you get to your destination-success. Your mission will always depend on what you know about yourself.

Step four: take an honest assessment of your knowledge, skills, and attitude. What do you know about what you want to do? For example, after working through Jack Canfield's program "Self-Esteem and Peak Performance," I realized that I liked speaking and teaching. I also uncovered the fact that I am well suited for this career, and I am extremely effective. It never feels like work to do a seminar, workshop, or keynote. In contrast, I worked once as a data entry clerk-a job I never liked! I had the knowledge and the skills to do the job; however, I was not happy because I did not have the right attitude. I didn't have all of the knowledge and skills to become a public speaker, trainer, and consultant, but my attitude helped me to get what I needed. Assessing your knowledge, skills, and attitude will help you get on the right track to success and happiness.

Step five: know how you're going to get to where you want to go. All successful people set goals. I remember a woman from one of my seminars who mentioned that she did not believe in setting goals because our lives are already predestined. What a tragic way to live! We are all created to live a full and successful life. I don't believe that our achievement is left up to God. I think He leaves it up to us. SMART goals help us take inventory along the way and measure our success. These measurements must be: S- specific, M- measurable, A- attainable, R- realistic, T- time bound.

About 9 years ago, I decided to get serious about my life and began to set goals. It's magical! I have achieved satisfactory results in practically every area I've set a goal in: spiritual, financial, educational, and educational. Two of my major goals were to finish my master's degree and then finish my doctorate degree. Every semester I was able to determine whether I was getting closer to where I wanted to go. If you are serious about achieving success, you must set goals!

Step six: maintain a realistic mind480set about the challenges on the way to true success. A realistic mindset means that things will happen in an attempt to keep you from the success you desire, but you have to keep pressing on. For instance, on your journey to success, you may have to work through a relationship ending, or changing jobs, or suddenly having to take care your elderly parents. Prepare for those moments, and don't let them keep you from your success. I have met so many people in my seminars who started to _____ (you fill in the blank), but they stopped because life happened and they have never restarted. When I was in boot camp for the Army whenever someone started to lag behind during our morning 5-mile run, we would shout "Man up!" In other words, push yourself a little harder now, but do not give up.

Remember, success - on your terms - is within your reach if you will consciously work through these six steps!

Motivation Theory

The word motivation is coined from the Latin word "movere", which means to move. Motivation is defined as an internal drive that activates behavior and gives it direction. The term motivation theory is concerned with the processes that describe why and how human behavior is activated and directed. It is regarded as one of the most important areas of study in the field of organizational behavior. There are two different categories of motivation theories such as content theories, and process theories. Even though there are different motivation theories, none of them are universally accepted.

Also known as need theory, the content theory of motivation mainly focuses on the internal factors that energize and direct human behavior. Maslow's hierarchy of needs, Alderfer's ERG theory, Herzeberg's motivator-hygiene theory (Herzeberg's dual factors theory), and McClelland's learned needs or three-needs theory are some of the major content theories.

Of the different types of content theories, the most famous content theory is Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of human needs. Maslow introduced five levels of basic needs through his theory. Basic needs are categorized as physiological needs, safety and security needs, needs of love, needs for self esteem and needs for self-actualization.

Just like Maslow's hierarchy of needs, ERG theory explains existence, relatedness, and growth needs. Through dual factors theory, Herzeberg describes certain factors in the workplace which result in job satisfaction. McClelland's learned needs or three-needs theory uses a projective technique called the Thematic Aptitude Test (TAT) so as to evaluate people based on three needs: power, achievement, and affiliation. People with high need of power take action in a way that influences the other's behavior.

Another type of motivation theory is process theory. Process theories of motivation provide an opportunity to understand thought processes that influence behavior. The major process theories of motivation include Adams' equity theory, Vroom's expectancy theory, goal-setting theory, and reinforcement theory. Expectancy, instrumentality, and valence are the key concepts explained in the expectancy theory. Goal setting theory suggests that the individuals are motivated to reach set goals. It also requires that the set goals should be specific. Reinforcement theory is concerned with controlling behavior by manipulating its consequences.

Profiling Your Target Growth Accounts

When a customer makes their buying decision, the customer makes that decision based on certain assumptions and has specific perceptions and expectations. When the customer places and order, these assumptions and or perceptions become reality in the customer's eyes, often becoming the source of costly misunderstanding. The task is to get the "book on the customer" and, with proper planning, avoid misunderstandings.

Remember:

The customers perceived value of your company drives their expectations

Your companys performance value drives your customers satisfaction

Customer profiles are the tendons and the muscles, the core of a Target Growth Account (TGA) Strategy. Each element becomes a building block in the Strategys foundation and an essential component of the sales effectiveness process. Without good dialog with your TGA accounts, securing the information necessary to formulate a meaningful plan becomes very difficult. To ensure maximum benefit from the information you collect, the questions asked and the answers given should be recorded in the narrative. This allows you to understand the subject and the answer. It reinforces your ability to understand the concept and the individual TGA account.

How do we get the information needed?

Analyze internal historical data

Do outside research on your customers industry

Ask the customer directly

Ask the customers competitors (carefully)

Talk to your customers customers

Develop relationship equity with the customers gate keeper

Your account managers should be able to complete this information in one to three weeks with proper focus and discipline.

Customer Profile Form

The customer profile form records information about the internal workings of your customer. It includes everything from the companys history and ownership to its day-to-day ordering process. Your account managers should complete a customer profile form for each target growth account. However, it is highly recommended that Target Growth Accounts should be held to a maximum of fifteen but no less than ten on average.

The following are some ideas and guidelines for the types of information your account managers should look for. For example forms for gathering and recording this data.

General Company Information

This provides an important snapshot of the TGA prospect. It tells you exactly what kind of company you are dealing with. Areas to explore include: when were they founded? How did they get started? Are they private or public? Is their family involved in the business? Where are they headed? Do they have a strategic plan? What are their growth expectations? Are they involved in any mergers or acquisitions? Who are the principals of the company? What are their demographics as it relates to their market, their locations? What is their current and forecasted revenue? How many locations and employees do they have? What is their sales and margin split between products and services? What is their financial condition and credit rating?

Product

What kinds of products and services do they sell? Are their products and services seasonal? Do their products and services go through sales lifecycles? If so, how long do they last? What types of customer-base is prevalent in their geography? What type of company are they?

Buying Process

Do they buy based on forecast, material requirements planning (MRP) or the empty cabinet methodology? Do they use a plan-o-gram or similar type program? What is their ordering practice? By understanding their process, you can better determine the pain factors and the opportunities to become a hero.

Vendor Practices

Are they implementing a vendor reduction program or any other type of program that has significant impact on their purchasing practices? What kinds of buyer programs do they have? Are they members of or considering a buying group? Do they pay their bills on time? Are there any special terms required?

Special Requirements

Determine any and all special requirements such as packaging, receiving certifications or electronic commerce. Include both product and service requirements. What is the level of technical sophistication of the office manager? How much technical or application support do they need?

Critical Needs and Issues

What components are deemed to be highly critical in the customers operation? What about cost reduction, E-business, productivity, service and logistics? Describe major current initiatives that could affect the relationship. Examples could include vendor reduction, process re-engineering, supply chain projects, technology changes and/or acquisitions.

Becoming the Supplier of Choice

A current analysis customer profile is the baseline that allows you to understand your current position with the TGA candidate. It provides the platform of where information that will help you understand the customers Rules of Engagement. Look at all opportunities to prove your value as the supplier of choice. This includes product related issues, service related issues and even e-commerce. Keep this information current as opportunities come and go. What do they look for in a vendor? What do they think of you? Who are your major competitors for this account and what are they doing to win the business?

These are suggested questions to get you thinking. Dont stop there; be creative. The more you know about your TGA account, the better prepared you will be to shorten the distance required to meet your objectives. Documenting the Customer Profile allows you and your selected strategic sales team to review every factor that could be significant in developing your action plan for each specific TGA customer. The first thing that should be documented on this form is exactly where you stand as a supplier or potential supplier right now. (e-mail rick@ceostrategist.com for sample forms)

Attraction Of Success

I do not care what people debate or think or believe in, this is something you need to pay attention to. How much you believe or do not believe in the law of attraction it is there true as fact. It is absolutely critical that you read this with an open mind and understand what I am telling you.

I am not talking about the movie, The Secret with you. I am talking about The Law of Attraction. Even though that movie has been out while, The Law of Attraction has been around for thousands of years.

You are responsible for everything in your life right now. You attracted it into your life. I am not saying you mystically attracted it. I am saying you attracted it because you did certain things in the past that created your present.

I am saying that things you are doing today will make a difference in the future. If you change or alter one thing, even subtly, it can have a significant difference in your life down the road.

For example, if you decided today to run 1 mile each day, and you had not done that in the past, your entire life will be different months from now.

You will be healthier, happier and posses more energy. Who knows what will happen if you decide today to make that kind of change. Months from now, you may run a marathon.

What you think about the most becomes your reality. You know why? Because it moves you forward towards that in which you think about the most.

Your thoughts create actions. Actions create results. Therefore, if you continue to think you are not good enough to make it in the internet marketing industry, you are right. If you change your thought process and realize anyone can make it in this business, including you, then you will have different results.

However, you have to take full responsibility for what your life is like right now. You have to realize that if you want different results you will have to take different actions.

And guess what? You have to think different thoughts!

If you continue to think the right thoughts, you will have things fall into your lap. You will have the right people; the right situations, the right opportunities, the right answers, the right clients, the right JV partners, etc. come to you because you are thinking the right thoughts and doing the right actions

Everything that you see around you is a direct reflection of what is going on inside you. It is a direct link to your thoughts. If you always think doubt, lack and financial problems, then that is what you will get.

It is cause and effect really. You have to cause certain things to happen in your business. It does not happen on its own. And, you will never recognize these things if you do not change the way you think.

If you want different results, think different thoughts. And, if you are going to have the choice on which thoughts you think, you should think positive thoughts.

Look at it this way, If you spend 60% of your time thinking negative thoughts, then 60% of the time you are worrying, fretting, stressing and probably not doing much to move you towards your goals. You only have 40% of your time available for positive thoughts.

I know I find myself taking much more action when I am having positive thoughts. I am much more confident and willing to make bold moves. Therefore, spending more of your time in the positive zone will create more action and results.

Part 1: Designing Virtual Classes Your Students Will Rave About!

Technology gives us all kinds of wonderful tools to enhance virtual classes for solo entrepreneurs. Teleconferences, audio and video recordings, both streaming and downloadable, interactive multimedia, online learning environments, automated learning tools all great options. But while the bells and whistles might abound, what is it that REALLY makes for a great virtual learning experience?

Last January, I was having lunch with my friend/advisor Sherry Essig. We were talking about a virtual course I was taking at the time that I was really enjoying. The subject matter of that course (marketing) was one I was pretty familiar withas an MBA student, in consulting with clients, and even co-writing an e-book on the subject. So why the heck did I pay several hundred dollars to take a class on a subject I already knew a lot about? And why, when I was finished, did I feel more capable of using that knowledge to improve my business than I might have after reading another book?

As we talked, Sherry started noticing the elements I was raving about: structure, accountability, and community. What I was really paying for wasnt the knowledge (although I definitely learned). I was paying for:

* a schedule to do the learning (structure);

* a modest work assignment each week, and a place to post my completed assignments (accountability);

* and a rich network of fellow students to share with and learn from (community).

Here is a look at these three elements and how you can apply them to your own course design.

Structure

I think of structure as the element that gets me to sit down and do the learning; usually, in the form of a scheduled appointment, with myself or someone else. For a live class, this is a no-brainer. The scheduled classes provide the structure.

However, the trend toward offering recordings shortly after the live class can undermine the urgency of being on the call live. Recordings are invaluable when there is truly a conflict for the student (and can add value to the course overall)but it also makes it easy for students to rationalize when they get busy (and when are solo entrepreneurs not busy?) and skip the class, knowing the recording is there whenever they get around to listening. (Im guilty of this!) And then suddenly there is no structure, no timetable to listen to the recording. (Sometimes this means I never do get around to listening to the class.)

How do you solve this dilemma and provide the structure your students really want? I havent seen anyone with a good solution to this yet, but here are some ideas to experiment with:

* Make the recordings available on-request. Each week anyone who needs the recording has to contact you. Most students will, I think, shame themselves into not missing more than a couple, just to avoid having to ask each week! If not, you can perhaps challenge them after the second or third request (a great coaching moment!) If the recordings are a valuable part of your offering, upload them to be available to all a week after each class, or at the end of the course.

* Give some incentive for being on the calls live. Something above and beyond what they are paying for (i.e., you cant penalize them for not showing up!) Free ebooks, audios, CD, etc.

* Give an incentive for attending all the calls sort of a perfect attendance bonus. Maybe even a modest rebate on the cost of the course!

Accountability

AKA homework. Learning and retention is enhanced when the student does something to practice what theyve just learned; even better, if they can implement it in their business right away. So how can you encourage students to complete the homework?

* Have students email their homework to you. You could even provide an incentive by offering valuable feedback to your students.

* Provide a space online to post homework. Nothing like peer pressure to get some people moving! This also offers a rich opportunity for the student to ask for help; feedback, etc. (see Community, below). You can implement this with something like Moodle, a bulletin board, etc.

* Ask students to sign a statement of intent to do the homework. This can help them make a promise to themselves to work hard to keep up.

* Assign buddies to trade homework. For some, knowing that someone else is waiting can be motivating. This can also backfire if neither student complies letting them both rationalize away the work. A threesome might work better.

* Check in with students. Send an email and ask them how the homework is going. Sometimes they are just stuck and a few words of wisdom from you could quickly get them back on track.

Community

Just as its easier to stick with an exercise program with a buddy or a regular workout group, interacting with fellow students can provide the Im not in this alone feeling that they sometimes need. Community can also be an excellent side benefit of taking the class; it can provide a richer learning experience as additional wisdom is shared, and students may even make connections that last long after the final class. You can create community environments for your students:

* Create a bulletin board. Students can post homework, ask for feedback, ask questions, and share their own knowledge. Password protection is recommended, to provide a safe environment without fear of a silly question getting aired via search engine later.

* Set up mastermind calls. These are calls, facilitated by you (or your teaching assistant), that are open to whatever the student(s) need to talk about, ask questions, etc. Depending on class size, you might need to break students into groups, each with their own call time, to ensure everyone gets the air time they need.

* Set up mastermind groups. These can be very effective especially in long-running programs. You create the groups, or let students form their own. They will probably need either live help or some instructions on how to set up a powerful mastermind group.

* Establish buddy pairs or triplets. Trading homework, weekly check-ins, giving feedback, are all possibilities to explore. For a long program, mixing up the groups midway can liven things up and give a second chance to students who just didnt mesh with their first buddy.

Summary

We cant make our students learn and use what we teach them. But we can provide a supportive learning environment with the structure, accountability and community elements that make true learning more likely.

If you have a creative approach to live virtual classes that addresses these three elements, send me an email and Ill mention it in next months newsletter. And stay tuned for Part 2 of this series, Adding Structure, Accountability and Community to Your Self-Paced Classes.

Three Poems (While in Transition/English and Spanish)

Here are three more poems by the author, Dennis Siluk, while traveling througout Central and South America.

Three Poems
While in Transition
(In Spanish and English)

Poem One

English Version

Orange Timid Moon

Oer the Copan sky

an arch of shadows
weave their webs

with low-lights,
as the moon rises...

orange and timid
as one more night

passes by...
by the shadows

of the Maya gods
de antigua Copan!...

Note: written while at the Copan Ruines, in Honduras, April, 2005.

Versin en Espaol

Luna Tmida Anaranjada
Por Dennis Siluk
Traducido por Rosa Pealoza

Sobre el cielo de Copan

un arco de sombras teje sus telas

con bajas-luces,
como la luna se levanta...

anaranjada y tmida
como una noche

ms que pasa ...
por las sombras

de los Maya dioses
de antigua Copan!...

Nota: escrito mientras estaba en las Ruinas de Copan, en Honduras, Abril de 2005.

Poem Two

Cyclye of the Buterfly

First they were an egg
Then a worm without legs
Then a Butterfly;

Then the new cycle begins
Were back to the egg again.

But who was first?
The Butterfly or the Worm?
As all things are, it seems...
It was the rib of the butterfly,
Like Adam and Eve.

Note: written while at the Butterfly Conservatory, in Copan, Honduras, 4-24-2005.

Poem Three

The Simple Things

I was trying to think of great things to write
But I can only come up with simple things,
perhaps, that is where it is at?

(that being:)

The humming of the plane
An attendents voice saying:
Can I help?

What greater gift has God given, than
The flow of little, simple things...(?)

How often do we meet kings?
Fly around the world?
Win the lottery?

It is the simple things you see!
That keep us wise and healthy;
Busy, and free from mischief!

And so I shall close my eyes
And listen to the movie on the screen
While waiting in this flying machine...

(flying from Panama to Lima)

...sitting in this damn plane
Waiting to get home to do little things!...

Note: While flying from Panama to Lima, Peru, the author wrote this poem, waiting to get home to his casa in Lima, 4-26-05.

Poet and Author Dennis Siluk, is presently in Lima, Peru finishing some poetry he has written while in the Andes, and Honduras, and Peru in General. Waiting to go to Colombia.

Past Life Regression With Hypnosis

Past life regression is, in theory, a means of going back and visiting an experience from a supposed former existence. Some people believe that it's possible to recall, with the help of hypnosis, our personal experiences from a time before our current life. I personally don't believe in this phenomenon. The unconscious mind is a very powerful thing, and it has stored millions and millions of tiny bits of seemingly irrelevant information, but that data is there, it exists in the unconscious mind, and I believe that what people call a past life regression is really the unconscious mind playing out.

You often hear stories of past lives and there have been many books written on the subject, but they never offer any real specific data or facts. Typically when we hear of a past life story, it involves a person who was supposedly a high profile personality of some kind, like a king or queen, or some other sort of admirable profession. You never hear tell of a story where someone was a sewer worker in a past life. The relevance here is that often times the past life described by the client reflects something that they currently desire or admire in their life. In other words, whatever they believe their role to have been in their past life, it's usually something they admire or have a fascination with today.

What I do believe however, is that people can have an experience which they believe is a past life regression. When this is the case, if this experience somehow serves the person or proves therapeutic for them, then so be it. If a client comes to me with the idea that a regression will somehow help him, or somehow be beneficial to him, then I will travel down that road. If a client has a problem which they feel is based on events in their past life, and they come to me with the belief that a regression will help them, I will do it because whether the experience is real or imagined, that kind of therapy can be helpful.

I will and I would conduct a regression for a client if they believe it will be beneficial to them, because it's their belief system that matters and they control their own therapy. However, I would never produce a self hypnosis recording to induce past life regression. Certainly such recordings have been produced and are available through other sources, but it doesn't form part of my make-up, or what I believe.

Colorado Health Insurance and Life Assurance

Life Insurance, sometimes called Life Assurance is a contract between two parties. This contract is usually between the policy holder and the insurer. In return for the policy holder paying a monthly or annual premium the insurer guarantees a specified monetary payout upon the death of the policy holder.

Each policy has its own terms and these can vary widely from insurer to insurer. A standard among all policies is that the insured cannot commit suicide or the policy will not payout. Also most policies will not accept new members if they have a terminal illness.

Costs involved with Colorado Life Insurance vary from provider to provider. These costs are based on things like age, sex and whether the person has ever smoked or has a history of family illness. Most all insurance companies put policy holders in one of four categories. These categories include Preferred Best, Preferred, Standard and Tobacco.

There are many types of life insurance. These types include but are not limited to Temporary or (Term), Whole Life Coverage, Universal Life Coverage, Permanent, Limited-Pay, Accidental Death and Endowments. Each insurance type has it benefits and drawbacks. Be sure to consult a qualified Colorado Insurance Specialist before signing any paperwork for coverage.

Life insurance policies are for the most part are not taxable income. So any payout made to the beneficiary should not be taxed by state or federal government. This may however not be the case if the policy is somehow tied to an estate.

Insurance companies are not required to provide health of life insurance and can deny anyone for any reason they want.

Remember always consult a certified Colorado Insurance Specialist for any questions you have.
