The Magic Word Is - Attitude

Our attitude towards life will determine what we get from life. Our attitude towards work and learning will determine what we can do well.

William James a Harvard professor said "the greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitude of mind"

First let's look at our attitude towards ourselves. We take ourselves for granted. we believe that other people can do things that we cannot. Many people oppose change yet change in life is the one thing on which we can absolutely count.

We need to train our attitude day by day. Take a look at successful people in every occupation.
You will find that no matter what field they work in they all have one thing in common . They have a good attitude towards themselves, they believe they can accomplish and as a result they do remarkable things. They are called successful, fortunate, gifted, lucky. They are frequently no better able than the people around them but they do have a good attitude. They do expect more good out of life than bad. They expect to succeed rather than fail.

If you want something out of your life make up your mind that there are more reasons why you should get it rather than you shouldn't.

Go after it, strive for it, save for it, ask for it and nine times out of 10 you will get it. Our environment is really a mirror of our attitude. If we don't like our environent we have to change our attitude first, the world plays no favorites. It is our attitude that determines our lives.
Studies of thousands of successful people show that they radiate confidence. They expect success and this is why they get success. You can spot these people by the way they look and act.

In five years or less you can get right to the top of your present field by adopting the right attitude. Start today by simply acting as though you are already the successful person you want to be. Act, look and feel successful. Actions trigger feelings just as feelings trigger actions. Here is a test that will prove this to you. If you carry out the following instructions for the next 30 days your attitude towards life will be dramatically improved.

Act toward the world and everyone you meet as though you were already the person you want to be. If you want success act as though you already have it. If you want admiration from others give this admiration to others. The most important person on earth to any person is himself ,so for the next 30 days act as though everyone you meet is the most important person on earth (remember he is to himself )

You should do this for two reasons

1) This is the way you should treat other human beings

2) It will help you form a habit that will work with amazing results.

Have you noticed that in large well-run companies the people at the top are nice people, easy to talk to and they are courteous to you?

This is because they have the right attitude, this is why they are at the top. When a person carries out this instruction he immediately puts himself in the right company i.e. in the top 5% of the people amongst those who will be most successful, he has made himself an embodiment all of that which he seeks. He has made the mold in which to fashion the final form he wants to be. The things that person would have and do wi9ll come to him. It's called "the law of attraction"
Everyone in the world wants to be and needs to be loved and respected. They will give their love, friendship and their business to those who will give them what they want most, a feeling of importance.

Summary

It is our attitude at the beginning of a task which will determine its outcome.

It is our attitude towards life that will determine life's attitude toward us.

We are interdependent, it is impossible to succeed without others.

It is our attitude towards others which will determine their attitude towards us.

Before a person can achieve the life he wants he must become that kind of person.

Your mind can only hold one thought at a time, as there is nothing to be gained by being negative-- be positive.

Everyone craves to be needed, give them this feeling.

Don't talk about your problems or your health unless it is good.

Radiate the confidence of someone who knows where they are going and good things will start happening to you.

For next 30 days treat everyone as though they were the most important person alive.

The Good People Get to Go to Heaven

I found a website that was recommended to me and it had the comment, is Jesus the only way to heaven at, Gotquestions, seems like your typical Christian website that replies with biblical quotes and simple to follow information. If I was lost, they will help me find a way. There's even a button at the bottom that states, I have accepted Christ today. I guess if I was to push that button, I get to go to heaven and be with Jesus. Hard to imagine, avoiding a life of burning in hell could be as simple as pushing a button and uttering a few simple words.

I found this question and began reading their comment. The first comment is from somebody answering as a nonbeliever in Christianity. It states something like, if I'm basically a good person and live a moral life, I get to go to heaven, right, only the bad people like murderers go to hell.

Now the answer that the website gives, seems to create fear if you do not belong to Christianity and provide you with hope if you join the group.

It mentioned Satan as the ruler of the world, and he can plant these thoughts into your head if you're not a Christian. He also controls your mind and let's you believe, that it would only make sense to any rational person, they get to go to heaven if they're good.

Now this is what makes sense to me but according to this information, I am doomed to rot in hell for eternity, even if I am a pretty good person. All I have to do is accept Christ as God and I get to go to heaven. That seems pretty easy and I wonder why more people don't do it. Just push the button.

I wonder if Satan is controlling, non-Christians minds and that's why there's brutality and war throughout the world. If everyone was a Christian, would our world be better.

Here's a quote from Wikipedia The Crusades were a series of religion-driven military campaigns waged by much of Christian Europe against external and internal opponents. Crusades were fought mainly against Muslims, though campaigns were also directed against pagan Slavs, Jews, Russian and Greek Orthodox Christians, Mongols, Cathars, Hussites, Waldensians, Old Prussians, and political enemies of the popes.

These Christian Crusades killed thousands of people. To give you an idea how many people were killed, all I had to do was type the word crusades into a search engine and it took me to the Christian Crusades.

I guess that rules that out, it seems like the Christians a long time ago were pretty aggressive towards their enemies, I wonder if most Christians would refer to these people as enemies today or are they just being controlled by Satan. Do these Christians from the Crusades get to go to heaven? If people like this get to go to heaven, may be hell is a better place anyway.

Here's something to think about, go to heaven

Turning Passions Into Profits - Author Christopher Howard

Albert Einstein is quoted as saying "People love chopping wood. In this activity one immediately sees results" and whilst I am not sure that today people love chopping wood, they certainly love seeing immediate results. Think for a moment about the lives of people around you maybe even yourself and see how the need for instantaneous results dominates our cultural psyche. It is all NOW! NOW! NOW! - We have become like a petulant 2 year old, screaming to whomever will listen - "I WANT IT NOW!" (please feel free to insert whatever IT is for you)

That is exactly how I was three years ago when I picked up the book "Turning Passions into Profits" by Christopher Howard. I was excited and motivated reading and re-reading the book, soaking up every word. I decided that I did not want to be a Billionaire and as Chris says 'you can always scale it back'. So I set my sights on achieving the long-term results I wanted and used the tools and strategies as written.

Turning Passions into Profits provides specific techniques for closing the gap between where you are today and where you would like to be. In this book, Christopher Howard teaches powerful, innovative tools for modelling and replicating the ultimate success of some of the World's greatest leaders and billionaires.

Not instantaneous results but instantaneous change cemented in place for MASSIVE results.

With the ability to select and incorporate some of the traits, strategies, thought patterns, and behaviours of those already achieving results, individuals can plot a course and arrive at a chosen destination greater than they ever thought possible.

When I look around at my life right now, it is miraculous! Sure there are still things I am working on but the long-term results I have achieved in nearly every aspect of my life far out shine any IMMEDIATE result I could have wanted for myself. I also have the confidence and assuredness that I created it all and will continue to creating even bigger results in the near future.

"The more you chase the Holy Grail of short term performance, the less you get in long-term results". Walter Calbot.

If you want to create change that will create results you only dreamed possible then Christopher Howard's "Turning Passions Into Profits" must be your next book to read and implement. And you too will have it take prime position on your Book Shelf.

How to Find Inner Peace

Amazingly, you have just come across the information that you need to find your own inner peace. Just look at the page in front of you. It is you who is staring out at this page and it is you that is the Source of your own inner peace. You just have not learned how to see yourself yet and you need a little guidance. Once you are able to focus in on who you really are, you will reach inner peace. You will know it because nothing will disturb you anymore and any feelings of dis-ease or "uncomfortableness" will be gone entirely. It is not a joke. This is something that is possible for you and that has already happened for many other people. They learned to focus their inner consciousness onto themselves over longer and longer periods of time until, Boom! A breakthrough of consciousness happened that overwhelmed all of their old ways of looking at things and put them at peace with the entire contents of their mind. It is almost entirely that simple.

If you are wondering how to do this yourself, it is a pretty good question and deserves a bit more explanation. All you have to do is watch every thought and emotion that goes through your mind. No matter what it is, if you continue to watch, as simple as that seems, you will become an expert in no time at all. Go ahead and try it. Just keep to this process of watching each thought and each emotion as it floats by. There goes a sad emotion, there goes a happy one. There goes an angry emotion, there goes a scared one. Watch each thought such as the thought about your mean old mother-in-law or the thought about your newest recipe that you plan to use for dinner tonight. Learn to relax as you do it. It does not matter what the thought is, just watch it float up out of nowhere and watch it disappear again into nothing. As you practice doing this each day, you will become better and better at it until one day, Shazzam! Many people report a sudden eruption of energy inside themselves like a conscious energy that bursts up through their heart and into their head which utterly transforms all of their thoughts and feelings like they never imagined. This is called the Kundalini energy in Indian terminology and the Holy Spirit in Western terminology. It does not matter what you choose to call it. The fact is, it brings inner peace and makes you feel like a million dollars every time you raise it up inside yourself.

That is right. Raising the Kundalini can be done at will once you have become practiced enough to make it happen the first time. This energy then becomes the source of all your happiness and inner peace in life. It becomes the thing that you look forward to each day as you prepare to sit down for another 30 minutes or so of meditation. In the beginning, if you are just starting out with A Course in Miracles or with any kind of meditation in general, you will find it quite hard to sit still. Everything inside you will want to move around and get up from your chair to go see what is on television or happening down the street. Meditation can be so boring! Still, if you are one of those people who really believes that there is a great potential locked inside you, you will teach yourself to sit still each and every day for at least 30 or 40 minutes. Eventually , you will learn to sit for longer and longer periods of time and you will learn to be more and more content as you sit there doing nothing. It is a battle with your ego is what it is. Your ego wants to get up from the chair and get back to the troubles of your life. Your spirit, however, will be stronger and will instruct you to just sit there and let the ego tire itself out.

Over time, week after week, month after month, you will see that your mind becomes more and more contented with just sitting still. At the same time however, the ego will really get frustrated and try to throw up its worst attacks to try to stop you from keeping to your course. If you wait it all out and sit still no matter what, finally your ego will be broken and your Spirit will burst forth as the true champion. That is basically how it works and you can pat yourself on the back for reading this far and learning what you just learned. It was not an accident that you came here to read this and it would not be an accident when you set your mind to the task of finding inner peace. The inner peace you search for is locked away inside yourself. It only takes a bit of serious intention and discipline to find it in there and then, you too will have the inner peace you have always wanted.

One of the Best Books on Life - Arnold Patent

Most people read a book and if it's good, they might recommend it to someone else, but if the book is great, you can guarantee they will recommend it to everyone who is interested or who they think might be interested in the book. In the field of personal development, one book comes to mind, it's called, "You Can Have It All" by Arnold Patent.

I found the book in one of our antique thrift stores and paid less than $10 for it, I really didn't think much of it and never heard of Arnold Patent before. We've all heard of Anthony Robbins, Susie Orman, Wayne Dyer, but I never heard of Arnold Patent. I skimmed through the book and it looked like a short read. I read the book in about six hours and plan to reread the book, as soon as I get it back for my daughter. The book has short chapters, most of them less than five pages.

Looking at the short chapters, you could get the impression, that there isn't very much information in each chapter, how could there be with less than five pages and some chapters less than three pages. This was very deceiving to me, because each paragraph, was like a chapter and each chapter was like a small book.

The book is full of tools and advice and combines personal development with spirituality. He has chapters on meditation, energy, enjoying what you love to do for the rest of your life, cause and effect, abundance, attachment, pain and suffering, harmony, karma the past and forgiveness.

I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to read this book and if you're looking for some basics on quite a few motivational, spiritual and laws of attraction topics, this book has almost everything you need to get you interested in changing your life. You could actually read one chapter a day and think about it for the rest of the week, there's that much information in each chapter.

I was reading one of his recommendations and it was from Oprah Winfrey, she said, "It was one of the most important books that I had ever read." That's coming from one of the most successful people in the entertainment business. I stumbled across this book and might not have ever found it, but I'm telling you about it and highly recommend it.

A Life Of Spiritual Education

Free Inspirational Quotes - Help Yourself, Help Others Too

What could be more empowering, in terms of self-help, than to turn your thoughts towards someone else's troubles?

Instead of trying to help yourself, then, you try to help others. And in doing so - when you stop continually thinking of yourself, and all your woes - you not only help others, empower them, you also help and empower yourself too.

That's what I believe, anyway.

And the following free inspirational quotes seem to be back me up.

"He who teaches children learns more than they do"
-- German Proverb

I think that he (or she) who teaches any child or adult learns greatly in the process, for sure.

But it doesn't just have to be children that this teaching refers to. You could be teaching a colleague or a friend or even your partner - you could be sharing your wisdom or expertise with them, and learning more about your wisdom or expertise in the process.

And you might not be teaching them, but guiding them, or providing mentoring.

"Real education should educate us out of self into something far finer; into a selflessness which links us with all humanity."
-- Lady Nancy Astor

So it is real education what we should all be sharing, if at all possible. And then we really would be helping others, and helping ourselves too.

And, in case you think you don't have the necessary skills...

"Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do."
-- Dr. Benjamin Spock

The famous American pediatrician was speaking to new parents at the time, admittedly. Still, his message is an inspirational one, not simply aimed at that group of people. It has truth to us all, whatever we find ourselves doing in life.

Yes, it's true, we *do* all know more than we think we know. And that means we all have the ability to help, somehow, no matter who we are and what few skills we think we possess.

This is a truly life-affirming belief. And Leo F. Buscaglia describes this belief, thus:

"Don't spend your precious time asking 'Why isn't the world a better place?' It will only be time wasted. The question to ask is 'How can I make it better?' To that there is an answer."
-- Leo F. Buscaglia

Yes, you can make the world a better place by sharing your knowledge and skills with someone else. Or you can simply wonder how else you can make a difference. And you can make a difference - all that's required is belief that you can...

"Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does."
-- William James

Everyone reading this article has a unique combination of qualities. They will have faced and overcome many challenges individual to them. And these experiences will have given them a unique perspective on life - their perspective.

So, armed with that perspective, and a belief that they can make a difference if they but try, each reader will (hopefully) be inspired to help themselves by helping someone else, in a way only they can.

But it's not as simple as just reading an article. For anything worthwhile to be achieved, action is required. Action is what separates doers from dreamers.

And, of course, there is an inspirational quote for that, too:

"The act of taking the first step is what separates the winners from the losers."
-- Brian Tracy

And, if you take the first step here - if you decide to help others - then we will all be winners, you, me and the person you decide to help.

That is what I believe, anyway.

"With love and patience, nothing is impossible."

And that is what Daisaku Ikeda believes.

Thank you for reading.
